DISC HERNIATION • SPINAL STENOSIS • PIRIFORMIS SYNDROME
These are three of the most common causes of sciatica
🔹 Disc Herniation
When a spinal disc becomes irritated or bulges, it can press on a nerve and create sharp, shooting pain down the leg. Often worse when bending or sitting.
🔹 Spinal Stenosis
This is a narrowing of the spinal canal that compresses nerves. Symptoms usually feel worse when standing or walking, and ease when sitting or leaning forward.
🔹 Piriformis Syndrome
A tight piriformis muscle in the buttock can squeeze the sciatic nerve, causing burning, tingling, or pain down the back of the leg — often aggravated by sitting.
Each condition needs a different approach, which is why a proper assessment is so important. If you’re experiencing persistent leg pain, numbness, or discomfort, getting checked can help identify the cause and guide the right treatment.
