Another before and after post! ⚠️ Ear symptoms are not always “just wax.” 👂

This case highlights why professional ear examinations are so important.

During a routine ear wax removal appointment, significant wax build-up was identified alongside a fungal ear infection (otomycosis). The infection was thriving in the warm, humid climate of the ear canal. Although the ear clearly has the appearance of a fungal infection due to the presence of spores, it was confirmed with a swab taken by the GP

As an audiologist, my role is not only to remove wax safely, but to assess ear health and recognise when a medical referral is needed.

Another very interesting before and after post! 👂🔎 ⚪️

The pictures in the comments show an 'orbeez' trapped deep inside the right ear canal of a child. The child had already been to A&E, who were unfortunately unable to remove the orbeez due to its size and shape, The orbeez ended up being wedged deep inside the ear canal before the parents contacted me.

What a coincidence that I had bought special flexible suction ends only a couple of weeks earlier! These silicone suction ends provide enhanced suction and are designed specifically for removing foreign bodies like orbeez, so removal was quick and painless. Thankfully no damage to the delicate structure of the ear canal had occurred. My young client was an absolute star! 🌟

This has to be one of my most satisfying foreign body removals! Take care when handling orbeez - keep them out of your nose and ears! 👃👂⚪️ 🚫

This set of plugs are full shell ear protection for swimming 👂🏊
The plugs pictured here are for an adult, who has been advised to keep their ears dry due to a history of ear surgery.
They come with a removal handle.

Designed for a peaceful sleep every night, Sleepzz custom made ear plugs provide a perfect fit. Using ultra soft silicone and meatal design, Sleepzz ear plugs are designed to provide a peaceful nights sleep whilst still being very comfortable to wear.

This next set of plugs are filtered ProtectHear ear protection 👂👷🏍

ProtectHear plugs are an excellent all-round choice due to them being super comfortable. They are made of a very soft silicone and the size / thickness can be altered during the ordering process allowing them to be used in a variety of different situations.

The plugs pictured here are half shell and will be used for motorcycling. These will be comfortable under a motorcyle helmet.
