Over the past few months, I’ve helped so many women (and men) who felt self-conscious about their thread veins.

Some stopped wearing shorts.

Some avoided dresses.

Some covered their legs with fake tan or make-up just to feel more confident.

The truth is, thread veins are incredibly common. They can develop after pregnancy, weight changes, standing for long periods, genetics, hormonal changes and simply as we get older.

Firstly, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who commented on my post a few days ago. 💗

I was genuinely surprised by how many people shared that they’ve lived with a mark, spot or skin lesion for years without ever asking someone about it.

As a local paramedic who has worked in primary care, I know this is something many people put off because they’re unsure what it is or where to start.

Because so many of you told me this resonated with you, I’ve decided to hold a FREE Skin Lesion Assessment Day on Wednesday 29th July at The Cosmetic Clinic, Broadstone.

This clinic is for anyone who has a mark, spot or skin lesion they are considering having removed with cryotherapy and would like to know whether it appears suitable for treatment.

🔴 Please note: This is NOT a skin cancer screening or skin cancer check.

If I assess a lesion and feel it isn’t appropriate for cosmetic cryotherapy, or I believe it would be more appropriate for your GP to assess or refer, I’ll always advise you honestly. Your safety will always come first.

If appropriate, treatment may also be available on the day if you decide to go ahead.

I’m a local paramedic and I’d love to ask my local community something…

During my years working in primary care, I met so many patients who had lived with a mark, spot or skin lesion for years because they simply weren’t sure what it was, or whether it was something they should get checked.

It made me realise just how common that is.

So I’m really curious…

Have you ever had a mark, spot or skin lesion that you’ve wondered about for years but never had checked, or never really knew what it was?

There’s no need to post photos, I’m just genuinely interested to know whether this is something many people in our local community have experienced.
