You came back from holiday feeling great โ˜€๏ธโ›ฑ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Ž

And then - within about a week (or one day...), it was like you'd never been away.

The emails, the routine, the pace of it all - back to full speed before your nervous system had a chance to catch up. And suddenly the tension is back, the sleep isn't quite right, and the thing you were hoping a week in the sun would fix is still very much there.

The post-holiday slump hits harder when you've genuinely been running on empty. Because the rest revealed it - and coming back confirmed it.

One week away isn't always enough to undo months of going at full tilt. And August & September doesn't have to just be about getting back to it.

Drop a comment if this sounds familiar ๐Ÿ‘‡ or DM me and let's figure out what your body actually needs heading into autumn ๐Ÿงก

Ever finished a stressful period and wondered why your body still feels awful?

The deadline's gone. The difficult conversation is done. The thing you were dreading is over. But the tension in your shoulders? Still there. The broken sleep? Still happening. The jaw clenching? Still going.

This is completely normal - and it makes total sense once you understand what stress actually does to the body.Your nervous system doesn't have an off switch. It has a dimmer. And winding it back down takes more than the stressor disappearing.

Swipe through to understand what's actually happening - and what genuinely helps ๐Ÿ‘‰

Save this ๐Ÿ”– and share it with someone who's "fine now" but doesn't quite feel it yet.

Face. Jaw. Scalp. Neck. Shoulders. All of it. One session ๐Ÿ™Œ

The Restorative Facial & Full Upper Body Treatment is the one I'd recommend to anyone who carries tension in the upper body and wants to do something about their skin at the same time - because the two are far more connected than most people realise.

Tight jaw muscles affect the face. Shoulder tension travels up into the neck and head. A nervous system in overdrive shows up in the skin.

This treatment works on all of it, together.

People come out glowing. Loose. Like someone turned the volume all the way down.

Eight hours of sleep and still running on empty?

If that's you, you're not imagining it.

Sleep and rest are not the same thing. And when your nervous system has been in overdrive for long enough, sleep stops being the recovery it should be. You close your eyes, you go through the motions, you wake up, and nothing has really shifted.

That bone-deep exhaustion that follows you around? That's your body asking for more than an early night ๐Ÿฅฑ๐Ÿ’ค

Drop a comment if this sounds familiar ๐Ÿ‘‡ or DM me if you want to chat about what might actually help. You're not alone in it ๐Ÿงก

"I'm not really a massage person..."

I hear this one a lot. And I always want to ask, what are you imagining?

Because if it's a hushed spa, whale music, and someone working so lightly you can barely feel it ๐Ÿ‘‰ I completely understand why that's not appealing.

That's not what this is.

What you'll get from me? Warmth, real, direct, and completely unpretentious. Pink walls. A good playlist. Treatments built around what your body actually needs, not a script.

And if you've had a massage before that didn't do much? That matters. Not all massage is the same, and a treatment that's genuinely tailored to you feels completely different.

You might just not have found the right fit yet. DM me "INFO" and let's have a chat, no commitment, no pressure, just a conversation ๐Ÿงก

You know the one....

The thing you've been quietly managing for months. Adjusting your training around. Telling yourself will sort itself out if you just give it a bit more time.
It won't.

Niggles don't disappear - they just go quiet until something pushes them over the edge. And by the time they're loud enough to stop you in your tracks, you've usually been compensating for long enough that other things have started to join in.

One session of targeted work can shift what months of foam rolling and hoping couldn't.

Drop a comment with yours ๐Ÿ‘‡ - or DM me and let's actually get it sorted ๐Ÿงก

Tennis elbow doesn't care if you've never picked up a racket ๐ŸŽพ

Keyboards. Tools. Weights. Anything involving repetitive grip or wrist movement can overload the forearm extensors - and when those muscles are tight and under-recovered, every movement pulls on the tendon that attaches at the elbow.

That burning, aching pain on the outside of the joint? That's the result. Not the cause.

Resting it helps, but rest alone doesn't release the tension that's been building in the tissue. Which is why so many people find it comes straight back the moment they start loading the arm again.

Targeted massage to the forearm and elbow can genuinely shift things, releasing the muscle, reducing the strain on the tendon, and getting the arm working freely again.

If your elbow has been grumbling for weeks... or months... DM me "INFO" and let's have a chat about what's going on ๐Ÿงก

Not everyone wants firm pressure.

Not everyone can tolerate deep tissue work, or wants to. And some days, the last thing you need is someone working directly into the tension you've been carrying all week.

That's where reflexology comes in ๐Ÿฆถ

The whole body ๐Ÿ‘‰ through the feet. Specific pressure points that correspond to systems, organs, and areas of the body. Precise, focused, and genuinely effective!

Most people are amazed at how deeply it works without anyone going anywhere near their neck or shoulders.

If you've never tried it, or you've been curious but not sure if it's for you - DM me "INFO" and we'll have a chat about whether it's the right fit ๐Ÿงก

I spent years being good at something that didn't quite fit.

Graphic design gave me a lot. A career. A skill set. An eye for detail I still use every single day.

But sitting behind a screen, I was existing. Going through the motions. Functioning - but not really alive in it.

A solo trip to Bali changed my perspective completely. I came home and enrolled in massage therapy training. And something clicked in a way nothing had before.

The moment I put my hands on someone and felt the tension shift - I knew.
This is it. This is the thing. This is MY thing.

Six months into a contracted role, clients kept rebooking and my mentor kept asking why I hadn't gone independent yet. So I did. Found my studio in Bournemouth town centre. Launched Amy Ellen Massage.

And I have never once looked back.

What was your "this is it" moment? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘‡
