Yesterday, we visited Hopefield, an animal sanctuary very close to home. There, our residents enjoyed a morning of long walks, had some coffee, and met the animals in the sanctuary's care. It is important to make a distinction: Hopefield is not a zoo; rather than simply displaying animals, it showcases the care provided to animals that—for one reason or another—arrive injured and are treated there.
