πŸŽ‰ Work smarter, not harder ✨️

Is physio/osteo not working for you as well as you'd hoped? Short term relief but symptoms keep coming back i.e. nothing really changing? Tried everything?

This is where a whole-body approach is REALLY needed. If you haven't yet experienced Anatomy In Motion &/or Craniosacral Therapy - check out my reviews such as this one to see how long term issues CAN be resolved & not just 'managed'..

Full Review:

"Diane's approach to physiotherapy is completely different to all my previous experience of physio & osteopathy. She treats the whole body, rather than just the area that is painful. I started seeing Diane after years of neck & lower back pain & she has helped me retrain the mechanics of my whole body, which has made a remarkable improvement. She has given me an understanding of the ideal way to move & her simple exercises have retrained my body, which has relieved the pain. Her patient, methodical & calm approach, coupled with her brilliant explanations has made the whole process enjoyable & enlightening. Thank you Diane!"

πŸ‘£ Morton's neuroma - a painful condition near the top of the foot where there is thickening of the sheath around a nerve. It can feel like walking on a small pebble.

Over 2 years, this lady had tried many treatments including physio, various bespoke insoles & a steroid injection - which helped.. but was not solving the issue.

She heard good things about Anatomy in Motion (AiM) so decided to give it a shot - wise move!

Excess load was bearing down in the sore area of her foot - unless this changes, symptoms will persist. Her foot needed re-education (not strengthening).

We taught her foot how to move better across a wider base (tripod), & importantly πŸ’‘.. we dealt with her body's non-conscious reluctance to weight bear on her right leg

Her right knee motion was limited (following multiple traumas, surgery & complications), despite plenty rehab in the past. Movement improved within minutes once her knee was shown how to move well WITH her foot, leg & rest of her body

Immediate changes:
- walking improved
- started naturally weight bearing more evenly between her left & right sides
- foot went from rigid to soft & malleable
- right knee felt much freer
- pressure spread much more across left foot, offloading the Morton's neuroma

The body can adapt quickly when considered & treated as a whole interconnecting system of systems ✨️

Got an issue needing looked at (not just in isolation)...? DM to see if I can help πŸ€—

βœ… AiM (Anatomy in Motion) Wedges ⭐ A simple device used to help you experience new shapes & movement in your feet (& therefore whole body) that may be missing or difficult to access.

Their 3 key uses:

⭐ influence the direction of motion in a bone

⭐ to fill space where pressure is lacking i.e. lack of tripod connection

⭐ to offer feedback to initiate a movement

Bones in your feet communicate directly (via the nervous system) with the bones in the rest of your body. I.e. they are a component of your whole body system. A fully functional foot, however, is a rarity...

Wedges help unlock new movement in not only the foot, but help generate movement throughout the WHOLE body! Based on wisdom from Gary Ward, founder of AiM

If you have a persistent ni**le or recurrent ache/injury (& not just at the foot..!) - you may be surprised to hear that these humble wedges could help enormously.

Get in touch if you'd like to figure out what's holding you back & to unlock your movement potential πŸ‘£ πŸ₯³

πŸŽ‰ One QUICK year at The Studios at Homelea in Quarriers Village 😍

My room, Studio 1, had a much needed makeover before moving in. Who could focus with that brown carpet?!

It was transformed into a beautiful, calm space for body detective work & for small-group yoga & Pilates classes.

Delighted that the rest of the rooms in the building are also getting some TLC for a growing team of health & wellbeing practitioners πŸ™ŒπŸΌ
