🪚 Another Cracking Night at Pencoed Men’s Shed! 🌱

Tonight the lads rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into not one, but two projects — and both turned out brilliantly.

We’ve built a brand‑new bench, ready to be enjoyed by the community. Proper teamwork, plenty of laughs, and some great teamwork to bring it all together.

And we also finished our new planter, complete with its badge proudly fixed on. It’s amazing what a handful of Shed blokes, some reclaimed timber, and a bit of determination can create.

These evenings are what the Shed is all about — skills shared, friendships built, and projects that make Pencoed just a little bit better.

Great work, boys. On to the next one! 💪🪵

Facebook takes the p**s and its not fair 😤 😑

As many of you know, Facebook monetised us meaning that we can earn money for content, shares, saves and comments etc.... BUT

The second we build a momentum and start earning to give back to you all, Facebook limits our exposure, people dont see posts and our views reduce down to 10% and we lose it.....

As we heavily depend on this income to help with our sensory grants , we are really struggling.. so please if you see our posts, drop a comment, react or share to help us kick it back into earning mode ❤️💙

We’ve just hit 150 followers — and that’s all thanks to you. Every like, share, and comment helps keep the Pencoed Men’s Shed spirit alive and growing. We're truly grateful

Our Shed is built on teamwork, laughter, and a good dose of tea and sawdust — and seeing so many people supporting what we do means the world.

We've grown from 4 blokes in the back of a pub to an organisation thats become a cornerstone of Mens Mental Health in Pencoed - and along the way we've managed to do some great things to help the community and the world!

Here’s to more projects, more cups of tea, and more community connections.

We had an extremely generous donation of materials from a local business to help us with our community development project. We want to say a huge thank you!
We were able to make a bench tonight so people can make the most of the glorious weather and enjoy Pencoed Pavilion.
Had a great reception from the young people there - who thoroughly enjoyed being able to socialise in comfort.
Request was made for one at the Skate Park

Here’s a little update on what’s been happening since we did our Pristhetic Limb dismantling last month.
Stand: We Walk Together collected over 900 legs from across the uk - we contributed over 50 of them. Not a bad afford from some guys in a village shed!

Fantastic effort by everyone last night. Planter Version 2 is well under way - made in 1 session. Great to see us pull together as a team to get a great result.
We’re looking at getting a few more of these done before the weather turns and hopefully add a bench too - Pencoed Pavilions is going to look fantastic!

I want say a massive thanks to all the guys for their efforts over the last few weeks. We’ve dismantled 53 prosthetic legs - which is the most we’ve done so far.
This has been a regular project at Pencoed Men’s Shed and as a result we’ve helped over 100 amputees in Sub Saharan Africa to walk again
The work everyone has put in will make a real difference to people lives
