What an incredible week it was last week as our homes celebrated their own Superhero Summer Parties🦸‍♀️

Our residents, families and home teams truly went above and beyond. It has been so heartwarming to see everyone come together and celebrate our care heroes, all while raising funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

Today, residents, families and amazing team members across our homes are celebrating in style with fantastic fancy dress, fun-filled games and treats.

We are coming together to honour the everyday heroes who make our homes so special, while also raising important funds for the Alzheimer's Society.

And they’re off!🏃‍♂️‍➡️

Darlington’s Care Home Olympics returned for an incredible second year on Friday.

Organised by Grosvenor Park Care Home in Darlington, this year's event brought together 7 local care homes, including fellow Marton Care Home Riverside View Care Home, for a day of fantastic friendly competition.

Residents and team members went head-to-head across 9 classic sports day activities as family and friends supported from the sidelines. We were also pleased to welcome children from Maidendale Nursery, who cheered our teams on with brilliant enthusiasm and everyone enjoyed a well-deserved treat from Nevison’s Ice Cream, too.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who attended, and especially to our amazing staff volunteers who gave their time to make the day so special. Seeing the joy on the faces of our residents and team members made all the hard work worthwhile.

We are already excited for next year!

🚲 A Cycle Around the Headland at Westview Lodge Care Home 🚲

It was the perfect weather for a trip to the seafront! We took some residents on an assisted cycling trip around the Headland, enjoying the sea breeze and getting out into the community. 🌞🚲

There was plenty to see, including ships out on the horizon, and we loved all the friendly waves and hellos from people passing by. We even stopped for a chat with a lady walking her dog, who said it was a lovely way to get out and enjoy Hartlepool. 🐶👋

🧸 Special Visitors at Half Acre House Care Home 🧸

We had some very special visitors as Cath’s childminding group came along for a visit with three lovely little boys! Everyone enjoyed playing ball games, drawing and completing puzzles together. 🎨⚽🧩

Our residents thought the little ones were absolutely adorable and had a wonderful time spending the afternoon together. We’re already looking forward to their next visit! 😊
