Jack celebrated his special day with his lovely wife, Frances, and enjoyed a delicious chocolate birthday cake to mark the occasion. 🍫🎈

Today, as part of our community engagement, we were delighted to welcome a wonderful group of children from The Hinge Centre's Summer Activities Programme to Beechwood Care Centre. 🌞💙

The children spent the morning playing games before getting creative by decorating the path around our garden, which has now been officially named "The Hinge Trail." 🎨🌼

They then became little interviewers, exploring the home to find residents and ask them questions about their lives. One of our favourite moments came when they asked, "What's the key to a happy life?" ❤️
Our lovely resident Marion smiled and replied:
"Always be kind." 💕

After all their hard work, the children enjoyed a well-deserved packed lunch before heading home.

A huge thank you to Jack, Trinity, Austin, Amelia and Lewis for bringing so much laughter, kindness and energy to Beechwood. You made some very special memories with our residents, and we hope you'll come back to visit us soon!

We're kindly asking for donations of raffle prizes for our Breast Cancer Now Afternoon Tea on Friday 14th August.

Every prize donated will help make our raffle even more special, with all proceeds going to Breast Cancer Now to support their incredible work.

Whether it's a gift set, chocolates, a voucher, toiletries, candles, or anything pink-themed, every donation—big or small—will be hugely appreciated. 🎀

☕💙 A Busy Day for Claire, Our Front of House Manager! 💙☕

Today was a fantastic day of supporting carers in our local community.

This morning, we held our very first Carers Together cuppa and chat at Beechwood, with the wonderful Linda from the Alzheimer's Society offering advice, guidance and a listening ear.

One lady took the very first step in seeking support while caring for her dad, who is living with dementia.

Moments like these remind us that reaching out for help can make such a difference, and together we really can support our community. 💙

A huge thank you to Linda for agreeing to host our Carers Together cuppa and chat at Beechwood on the last Thursday of every month.

This afternoon, Claire joined Linda's regular group at Applegarth Court in Bridlington. It was lovely to meet so many friendly faces and see everyone enjoying colouring, painting, dominoes, cards, chair exercise bingo and even a fun game of crazy tennis! 🎨🎲🎾

Whether you're looking for support, information, or simply a friendly chat with people who understand, you'll receive a warm welcome at either group.

Do you care for someone living with dementia? Are you looking for support, information, or simply a friendly face and a chat with people who understand?

💙 We would love to welcome you to our Carers Together support group, held on the last Thursday of every month, from 10:30am – 11:30am. 💙

We’re delighted to welcome Linda from Alzheimer’s Society, who will be joining us for an informal chat, offering advice, answering questions, and providing support in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Whether you’re a family carer, friend, neighbour, or would just like to learn more about dementia, everyone is welcome. 💙

🎉💙 Yesterday marked a very special milestone for us... Beechwood Care Centre officially celebrated its 1st Birthday! 💙🎉

As we reflect on an incredible first year, our residents, their families and every member of our team wanted to take a moment to recognise one very special person – our wonderful Home Manager, Sarah Kirk.

Sarah's kindness, dedication and unwavering commitment have helped shape Beechwood into the warm, welcoming home it is today. Her passion for providing outstanding care, supporting our residents and encouraging every member of the team shines through in everything she does.

From creating memorable experiences and supporting families to inspiring the staff every single day, Sarah leads with compassion, respect and a genuine desire to make a difference.

💐 Sarah, thank you for your hard work, your leadership and your heart. We are so grateful for everything you do and for making Beechwood such a special place to live, work and visit.
