Working on movement, distance and getting the head off the line. 💪🏻

This drill focuses on coming in and out of range, using head movement and changes in level while maintaining control of the wheelchair. As the drill progresses, we add a double touch to challenge reaction, timing and movement even further.

Adapting the drill doesn’t mean taking away the challenge, it means finding different ways to develop the same boxing skills. 💙🥊

Breaking down 3 common myths in adaptive boxing 🥊

“Adaptive boxers can’t skip” they can, with adaptive skipping ropes and the right approach.

“They can’t move around” wheelchair boxers can move effectively, creating angles and controlling distance.

“The boxer with the longer reach always wins” movement, slips, timing and body shots can completely change the game.

Adaptive boxing is about adapting the approach. 🥊💙

Rocco has been part of our adaptive boxing family for the past 3 years, and every week he reminds us what determination really looks like.

At just 13 years old, Rocco lives with cerebral palsy, but he never lets that define who he is. Rocco turns up with a smile, gives everything he’s got, and continues to grow in confidence with every session.

It’s not just about boxing it’s about building belief, celebrating every achievement, and making boxing is inclusive for everyone.

We’re incredibly proud of Rocco. 🥊💙
