I love it when my mind is stimulated to expand like at the recent philosophy and music festival 'When the light gets in' in Hay. Phrases like 'human person' instead of human being; 'child free' instead of child less; thinking of movement and secretion as movement etc lets us look at something in a slightly different way.

My forthcoming workshop 'Making choices-to move more easily and feel more comfortable' is now in person rather than online. It is an opportunity to explore how embodied awareness and our ability to notice how were are doing things enables us to make more comfortable choices in movement and life. This 3 hour workshop (10.30-13.30) is long enough to delve into a deeper experience than a regular weekly class but also not too demanding on your attention and time.

Venue: Unit 4, Brighton

It will be an interesting weekend and I look forward to meeting some curious people

You reverse out of a parking space without that familiar twinge in your lower back.

You sleep on your side again, something you haven’t been able to do since 2018.

You carry groceries without worrying about which bag needs to go on which shoulder.

You realise you haven’t thought about your hip in three weeks.

You paint for hours without your hand cramping.

You play on the floor with your grandson because getting up isn’t a problem.

👆This is what learning through awareness looks like.

Not dramatic, but undeniable.

That’s why we do Feldenkrais :)

Our next Introductory Weekend is approaching!

7th-8th March | 10am-5pm each day.
£150 | Limited Spaces.
At in Brighton.

Come and experience the method for yourself.

I will be teaching the second Advanced Training ‘Using props in Functional Integration’ here in Brighton this Spring on the weekend of 14 & 15 March.
We will again explore how using props in FI can add an element of curiosity, safety and novelty to a lesson and can create a stimulating learning environment, both for the practitioner and the client.
If you are interested please find details on www.feldenkraisbrighton.co.uk

I am looking forward to teaching an Advanced Training for Feldenkrais practitioners for the London Feldenkrais Collective 'Moving pieces' in London Bridge on Saturday 25 October (10.30-16.30).
We will explore how we can create meaningful and effective Functional Integration lessons and will consider how we relate what we are doing with our hands to the enquiry our clients have at the beginning of a lesson. Are there ways we can think about our work that potentiates our students somatic learning and helps them to make more sense of a lesson?
The day will a mixture of theory and practice.
Please visit https://londonfeldenkraiscollective.as.me for further details or to book.

“Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their children than the unlived life of the parent.”- Carl Jung

Maybe this is in part why I became a Feldenkrais practitioner as the Method considers how we and our students can grow into our ‘potent self’ (The Potent Self - Moshe Feldenkrais)
