The Pines Care and Nursing Home in Hove has an excellent reputation as a leading nursing home in the Brighton area. Our highly-trained care and nursing teams are available twenty-four hours a day to provide the highest standards of person-centred care. The Pines has recently been extended and refurbished and now features a bistro cafe, hair salon and bright and airy lounge and dining areas.

What an incredible day we had at the Brighton Pride Parade 2026! 🌈✨

The team from The Pines Care & Nursing Home had an absolutely fabulous time joining the celebrations with a few of our residents, showing our support for the LGBTQ+ community, and being part of such a vibrant, inclusive, and meaningful event.

Pride is about celebrating love, equality, acceptance, and the freedom for everyone to be their authentic selves. We are proud to stand alongside our residents, families, colleagues, and the wider community in championing these values, not just during Pride, but every day.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day so special. The atmosphere, the smiles, and the sense of togetherness were truly unforgettable. We can't wait to do it all again next year! 🏳️‍🌈💜

Our Summer Fete was a wonderful success, bringing residents, staff, families, and friends together for a truly wonderful celebration ☀️

Guests enjoyed live music, guinea pig visitors, an exciting high-stakes raffle, alongside a delicious selection of cakes and canapés.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who joined us and supported our Resident Comfort Fund. Your generosity and continued support helps us create meaningful moments and enhance the comfort of those who call The Pines home.

🏆🎂 The winner of the Country Court Bake-Off Competition is... Charlotte Legge from Castor Lodge Care Home! 🎂🏆

Charlotte wowed the judges with her incredible campervan-themed birthday cake, featuring four delicious layers: Coffee & Walnut, Lemon Drizzle, Red Velvet and Victoria Sponge. Inspired by an era loved by residents, the ambitious design showcased exceptional creativity, skill and attention to detail.

This year's competition celebrated the amazing birthday cakes our teams lovingly create for residents and colleagues, making special occasions even more memorable. Judged on presentation, taste, innovation and baking skill, the standard was incredibly high.

A huge congratulations also goes to our fantastic finalists:
