We are so over conditional VBAC support.

If we had £1 for the amount of families that find us late in their pregnancy journey and tell us they feel catfished by their hospital, we would be opening our own hospital and employing medical care covers who actually do support VBACs.

Don’t until your last few weeks of pregnancy to find out the support you were offered was never actually these!

Question these conditions and rules … ask for the evidence around them… we can help you start — comment VBAC and we will send you our VBAC e-book

We could try and get a video out there about the many “hacks” to speed labour up.

But honestly? They don’t work.

And they certainly won’t make a difference if you continue to not understand birth physiology or trust yourself, your intuition and your birth preparation.

We trust that you know best.
We know that you can’t rush perfection.
And mostly, we want you to understand these things too.

Most of the work we do with families isn’t necessarily during labour, it’s during pregnancy.
Getting that mindset on point is what’s going to carry you through your journey.

Comment MINDSET to get our free Master your Mindset e-book!

YOU CAN DO IT! Without hacks, cheat sheets and trying to control something you most certainly cannot control.

We need to talk about this….

And please bear with us whilst we try to get to a very important point.

When maternity failures make the headlines, we always seem to end up talking about individual staff.

In the words of “it’s all about the he said, she said bull 💩

Look, it’s important to bring these issues up and make sure the people involved are held accountable….. but when we focus on the symptoms and ignore the actual disease, this becomes a convenient conversation…..

Because if the conversation stays focused on individuals, we never have to confront the harder truth: chronic understaffing, unsafe workloads, ignored warnings, failing leadership and a maternity system that has been sounding the alarm for years.

The biggest problem maternity services is facing is that we’ve normalised a broken system.

So yes, hold the staff accountable, but if things don’t start to change the system will continue to produce unhappy, overworked, resentful employees, who don’t feel safe at work…. and in turn create unsafe environments for service users.

You’re not the problem.The system is.And if you haven’t realised that - that’s a problem. We’re sure you’ll have a lot t...

Just your reminder to

Listen to yourself ✨

Opinions are overwhelming, conflicting (and usually unsolicited in our experience 😜) but outside noise can really damage your confidence in your decision-making in pregnancy.

And making decisions is already hard enough when it comes to birth!

Your constantly balancing:

“I don’t really want that”
with
“I want to keep my baby safe”

So start setting boundaries in respect of other people’s opinions now especially when you hit the third trimester!

If you’re really honest with yourself you know what you want - the issue is no Susan, John or Dr Hannah is giving you the validation and reassurance you want - that it’s the “right” decision.

Because there is no such thing as a right or a wrong decision.

There’s only the one that feels best to you!

You’ve got this mama!

There’s one thing we can guarantee clients planning a VBAC will experience: BARRIERS.

The NHS may place conditions, policies and “rules” in your way.
Friends and family may question your decision or make comments that chip away at your confidence.

But here’s what we know for sure:
VBAC is possible. We’ve seen it happen time and time again.

And you don’t have to navigate it alone 🤍
