We all know how painful it can be to roll over on an ankle. This video clip shows self-help, or reflexologist application, in the reclining position to ease a rolled or twisted ankle while working the ankle reflexes on the wrist. Technique: The ankle is simultaneously moved from side to side as the wrist is worked. These combined techniques have been taught to elite Championship football players for self-help, if they roll an ankle while running on the pitch, and to infirm older persons with stiff ankles to give them more mobility. As always, apply the standard reflexology caution: if there is any indication of ligament damage or other injury, then this technique must not be applied and medical intervention should be sought immediately. This technique incorporates Eunice Ingham's Reflexology Referral Method.
