🍬✨ SWEET TREATS & SWEET MEMORIES AT GLEBE HOUSE! ✨🍬

Today at Glebe House, Tracy, our Activities Coordinator, and Bev, our Activities Carer, came up with a lovely idea to take our residents on a trip down memory lane — through the wonderful world of sweets! 🍭❤️

We brought out some classic sweets that our residents remember buying and enjoying when they were younger, particularly from the 1960s and 1970s. The smiles on their faces as they recognised their old favourites were absolutely priceless! 🥰

As everyone sampled the sweets, it sparked lots of wonderful conversations and happy memories. Our residents shared stories of visiting the local sweet shop, choosing their favourite treats and the excitement of taking home a little bag of sweets to enjoy. 🍬✨

🍋 Four residents chose Sherbet Lemons as their favourite!
🍬 Two chose Liquorice Allsorts and Army & Navy sweets!

It was wonderful to see everyone reminiscing, laughing and sharing stories from years gone by. Sometimes, the simplest activities can bring back the most precious memories — and today was a perfect example of that. ❤️

Monday saw our Field House residents enjoy a wonderful trip to Clevedon! ☀️🌿

We had a lovely stroll along the seafront, taking in the beautiful views and enjoying some fresh sea air. 🌊🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

After our walk, we stopped for a delicious lunch and enjoyed some lovely time together. 🍽️🥰

It was a fantastic day filled with fresh air, beautiful scenery, good food and plenty of smiles. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure! ❤️

They had a wonderful time getting creative, choosing their colours and bringing their own ideas to life on canvas. It was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves, sharing smiles and taking pride in their beautiful artwork. 🥰🎨

🍇❤️ Record Numbers for Our Walking Group & Blackberry Picking! ❤️🍇

What a wonderful morning at Beech House! ☀️

This week, we had a fantastic 6 residents join us for a lovely sunny stroll down the streamside. 🌿🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

As we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, we couldn’t resist stopping to pick some lovely blackberries! 🫐🥰 We brought our freshly picked berries back and handed them over to the kitchen, ready to be turned into a delicious homemade pudding for everyone to enjoy. 👩‍🍳❤️

A big well done to everyone who joined us — it was a wonderful morning of fresh air, friendship and a little foraging fun! 🌸

We’re already looking forward to our next adventure! 💚

🎶❤️ A Wonderful Afternoon of Music at Glebe House ❤️🎶

This afternoon at Glebe House, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming our wonderful musicians, Rosemary and Richard. 🌸🎻🎹🎸

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed listening to their beautiful music on the piano, violin and guitar. It was such a special afternoon, filled with smiles, memories and the joy of music. ❤️

Rosemary and Richard kindly volunteer their time to visit us every few months, and we are always so grateful for the happiness and warmth they bring to our residents.

Richard shared with us today that this was their 18th visit to Glebe House! 🥰 What an amazing milestone!

A huge thank you to Rosemary and Richard for continuing to share your wonderful talents and for making such a difference to our residents. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. 🌷

This morning at Glebe House, we enjoyed our weekly Walking Club, taking a lovely stroll around our beautiful village. 🌿😊

It was wonderful to get some fresh air, enjoy the scenery and have a good chat along the way. We then stopped off for a well-deserved coffee and a delicious slice of fruit cake. ☕🍰❤️

🌸🌿 A Lovely Trip to the Garden Centre! 🌿🌸

On Friday, we headed out to Almondsbury Garden Centre with our wonderful gardener, Rose, to choose some more beautiful plants for our hanging baskets. 🌺🪴

While we were there, we also picked up an impatiens plant for one of our residents to enjoy in her own garden. She was absolutely delighted! 😊💗

It was lovely to spend some time choosing plants, enjoying the garden centre and getting ready to add even more colour to Field House. 🌷🌿

⭐️🌸 MAKING A DIFFERENCE AT GLEBE HOUSE 🌸⭐️

Today at Glebe House, our new resident Maureen reminded us just how special it is to share our passions, talents and treasured skills with others. ❤️

Maureen has been flower arranging for over 40 years, creating beautiful arrangements for weddings, funerals, christenings and Christmas. 🌷💐 Today, she shared her wonderful gift with our residents, leading a beautiful flower-arranging session and helping everyone create something truly special.

Maureen told us how much she had missed doing this, and seeing the joy on her face as she shared her passion with others was absolutely heartwarming. 🥰🌸

Her beautiful flowers are now bringing colour, warmth and a touch of Maureen’s creativity throughout Glebe House and onto our dining room tables. 🌺✨

Thank you, Maureen, for sharing not only your flowers, but a little piece of your heart with us. 💕 We feel so lucky to have you as part of our Glebe House family.

On Wednesday, we headed out for a lovely coffee trip to Horfield Leisure Centre. ☕😊

🌸💐 A Wonderful Floral Afternoon at Glebe House 💐🌸

This weekend, our new resident Maureen shared her wonderful knowledge and talents with us, giving a fantastic demonstration on how to prepare, condition and arrange flowers to create a beautiful table centrepiece. 🌷✨

It was such an interesting afternoon, with lots of questions for Maureen to answer. Everyone was fascinated watching her work, and the finished arrangement was admired by us all. 💕💐

And Maureen’s enthusiasm didn’t stop there! By Sunday, she couldn’t wait to get back to work with the remaining flowers. 🌸😊

The beautiful floral display now brightening up the Glebe House lounge is an absolute joy to see. It’s wonderful to see Maureen sharing her skills, passion and creativity with everyone. 🌺
