💜 Monday Museful Moment 💜

Sometimes, amongst all the things life asks of us, we forget to make space for the things that simply make us happy.

On Saturday, I took a couple of hours out. Nothing particularly productive, I went to be amongst the sunflowers🌻

I smiled, I laughed, I chatted to strangers, I spent time with Tyler and I soaked up the colour, the sunshine and the sheer joy of being surrounded by thousands of sunflowers (my favourite flower).

And I came home feeling lighter.

It reminded me that joy doesn’t always have to be something huge. Sometimes it’s a tiny glimmer. Sometimes it’s a couple of hours doing something simply because you love it.

So, this week, where might you find your glimmer?

What is something that makes you smile, brings you alive, or simply makes you feel happy to be here?

Maybe give yourself permission to go and find a little bit of it.

Because life isn’t only about getting through the difficult bits.

It’s also about remembering to live amongst the beautiful ones 💜

💜 FOUNDATION FRIDAY 💜

Something rather special happened on the evening of the New Moon and eclipse, which I hadn’t planned …

I co created a new flower essence.

🌻 Sunflower

And I say began deliberately, because she is very much still becoming.

For me, creating an essence isn’t simply about choosing a flower and making a bottle. It’s about listening, watching and feeling into the relationship with the plant and allowing it to show me what it has to teach.

And this sunflower has already given me plenty to ponder.

I’ve been wondering for a while which sunflower would be the one. And then there is this sunflower growing in front of my flat. One I rescued because she had been written off. She looked as though she had given up, and yet somehow she found the strength to bloom.

🌻 Not the biggest flower.

🌻 Not the most perfect.

But she bloomed.

And perhaps that’s part of the message.

Resilience doesn’t always look like standing tall and spectacular. Sometimes it looks like simply continuing to turn towards the light.

So, on the evening of the New Moon and eclipse, I listened and the mother tincture was made.

There is still a journey ahead before this becomes an Ancora Essence: stock essence, dosage bottles, labels and all the practical pieces that come afterwards.

For now, I’m allowing her to be exactly where she is and I thought I’d share that beginning with you, rather than waiting until everything is finished.

Because perhaps that’s what Foundation Friday is really about …

Honouring the foundations before we see the finished flower🌻

💜 Monday Museful Moment 💜

Friday, I took Tyler to a music festival at Milton Keynes Bowl and honestly it was brilliant.

Seeing him having the best time, creating those memories together, laughing, singing, being part of the moment. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

But there’s another part of those moments that I’m learning to honour too … the after!

I knew I needed to rest on Saturday, so I gave myself 24 hours to recover before getting back to my usual rhythm. And for a little while, I felt like I was back to where I’d been before Friday.

So, naturally, I carried on.

Sunday was busy, and by the evening my body gave me a very clear reminder that perhaps I wasn’t quite as recovered as I thought. A mini relapse attack.

It’s so easy to think:

“I’m fine now. I can carry on.”

But sometimes our body needs longer to catch up than our mind does. And that’s one of the things I’m continuing to learn about my nervous system:

Recovery isn’t always as quick as we would like it to be.

Rest isn’t just about getting through the immediate aftermath. Sometimes it’s about giving ourselves enough space to fully replenish before asking our body to do more again.

That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t go to the concert. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t make the memories. It doesn’t mean we need to wrap ourselves in cotton wool and avoid life.

Quite the opposite - life is for living 😊

But perhaps the lesson is learning to listen to our body not only when it says “stop”, but when it quietly says:

“I’m not quite ready yet.”

So this week, I’m being a little more mindful of my capacity. More listening.

And remembering that sometimes the most supportive thing we can do for our nervous system is simply give it the time it needs.

Just because we can get back to normal, doesn’t always mean our body is ready to 💜

💜 Foundation Friday 💜

This week’s foundation has been hope.

I still can’t quite believe I’m writing this, but I’ve been shortlisted as one of the 20 finalists in the New Earth Business Awards in the Inspirational as F*ck – Warrior Phoenix category.

If someone had told the version of me who was rebuilding life after a life-changing accident, living with a chronic condition, relying on a wheelchair, wondering whether I’d ever have a purpose again, that one day I’d be recognised for inspiring others, I simply wouldn’t have believed them.

Sometimes we don’t realise how far we’ve come until we pause long enough to look back.

This week has reminded me that hope isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about taking the next step, even when you can’t yet see where the path leads.

Sometimes, all we need is someone to walk alongside us until we can.

That’s the heart behind the Ancora Pathway I’m creating, a gentle pathway home to yourself.

August is going to be a month of foundations. I’ll be quietly evolving my website, refining resources and continuing to build the Ancora Pathway, so that I can support even more people who feel tired, anxious or constantly on alert after years of pushing through and holding everything together.

If this nomination has reminded me of anything, it’s that hope grows when someone believes in us before we fully believe in ourselves.

A heartfelt thank you to Sara Estelle Turner for believing in me enough to nominate me, and to everyone who has walked alongside me on this journey so far.

I’ve also just found out that the next phase involves a live interview and recording a video! 😳

Safe to say, my stomach did a little flip when I heard that!

But then I remembered something I’ve shared with so many others over the years: courage isn’t the absence of fear, it’s choosing to take the next step anyway.

So, here’s to another step on the journey.

Here’s to building strong foundations and having the courage to take the next gentle step, even when it feels a little scary. 💜

💜 Monday Museful Moment 💜

I hear it all the time …

“Getting old isn’t much fun.”

But what if we looked at it differently?

Growing older is a privilege.

The real question isn’t simply how long we live, but how well we live.

Did you know that in the UK, the average gap between our lifespan (how long we live) and our healthspan (how long we remain healthy and active) is just over 11 years?

What if we could begin to close that gap?

The truth is, you can’t change your age, but you can change how you age.

Healthy ageing isn’t about chasing youth or trying to turn back the clock. It’s about giving your body the support it needs so you can keep doing the things that bring your life meaning, joy and connection.

This is one of the reasons I’m so fascinated by the emerging science around glycans and supporting healthy cellular communication. The more I learn, the more I believe that healthy ageing isn’t about trying to look younger, it’s about having the energy to enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

The earlier we begin looking after ourselves, the greater the gift we give our future selves. Healthy ageing isn’t a late-life rescue, it’s a lifelong investment.

For me, healthy ageing isn’t about adding more birthdays, it’s about making sure I can still pause, soak in moments like this, and feel grateful that I’m here to experience them 💜

💜 Friday Foundation 💜

Sometimes we don’t realise quite how much we’ve evolved until someone else reflects it back to us.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on myself, my journey and the work I’m here to do.

And one thing has become very clear …

My gift isn’t simply that I don’t give up.

It’s that, even when life has given me plenty of reasons to stop, I keep finding meaning, hope and a way forward.

When life knocks me down, I don’t just try to get back to where I was.

I ask:

🍀What is this teaching me?
🍀How can this help someone else?
🍀How can I build something better because of it?

And I think that’s why my business has evolved so much too. I’m not the woman I was when I first created it.

🍀I’ve grown.
🍀I’ve learned.
🍀I’ve changed.
🍀And yes, I’ve been through a few hurricanes along the way. 😂

My understanding of nervous systems, resilience, wellbeing and the work I’m here to do has deepened.

Which means, my website hasn’t quite caught up with me and my Aquarian and Aries energy 😂

So August is going to be a little different.

No fayres. Instead, I’m devoting the month to the behind-the-scenes groundwork. Stepping back and looking honestly at what I’ve created, what has evolved, what still fits and what needs to change.

Because I’m no longer interested in building a business that reflects who I used to be. I want to build one that reflects who I am now and where I’m going next.

Then, as we move into September, I’ll begin bringing that to life with a refreshed website and a clearer reflection of the work I’m doing today.

Sometimes the most important foundations are built where nobody can see them.

And that’s exactly what August is going to be about for me.

Putting down stronger roots for what comes next.

Have the best weekend 💜

💜 Monday Museful Moment 💜

So much of what I’m hearing and seeing online at the moment teaches us to chase the highs.

To be happier.
More positive.
More productive.
Always having a ‘high’ vibration.

And when the difficult emotions arrive, we’re encouraged to push them away, fix them, or pretend they aren’t there.

But I have always thought, what if true wellbeing isn’t found in living at either extreme?

Our nervous system was never designed to stay in a constant state of excitement or constant calm. It was designed to move with life.

Joy.
Grief.
Excitement.
Disappointment.
Peace.
Frustration.

They all have their place.

The goal isn’t to eliminate the lows or cling to the highs. It’s to build enough inner steadiness that we can visit each emotion without becoming trapped there.

Inner harmony isn’t about never feeling anxious, sad or overwhelmed. It’s about knowing you can return to yourself, whatever emotion you’re moving through.

From that place, happiness stops being something you chase and becomes something you experience more often.

Resilience isn’t about feeling good all the time.

It’s about creating roots strong enough to hold you through every internal season.

So, as you begin this week, I invite you to ask yourself:

“What is one small thing I can do today to help my nervous system feel a little more safe, steady and supported?”

Because when we nurture our foundations, we don’t just survive life’s curveballs we begin to meet them with greater harmony, resilience and, perhaps surprisingly, more happiness 💜

💜 Foundation Friday 💜

No big announcements or words of inspiration today, just a little honesty.

Yesterday, I said goodbye to my beautiful friend, and my heart needs a moment to catch up.

As someone who teaches inner harmony, nervous system regulation and resilience, I know these aren’t things we only practise when life is easy. They’re the foundations we return to when life feels heavy.

So today, I’m choosing to practise what I teach.

For the next few days, I’ll be focusing on my own foundations, and I’ll be back next week.

If you’re local and would like to say hello, I’ll still be at the Warmwell Fete this Sunday. It would be lovely to see you.

Until then, be kind to yourselves and don’t forget to look after your own foundations. 💜

💜 Monday Museful Moment 💜

We can’t change the number of candles on our birthday cake but we can influence how we experience the years ahead.

💫 Every nourishing meal.
💫 Every good night’s sleep.
💫 Every walk in nature.
💫 Every moment we choose to calm our nervous system instead of living in constant stress.

These small choices add up.

💜 Reflection for this week:

What is one thing you could start today that your future self will thank you for?

Because healthy ageing isn’t just about adding years to your life. It’s about adding life to your years.

This evening I’m joining a fascinating online session with the amazing and incredibly knowledgeable Dr Nugent, exploring the science behind healthy ageing, longevity, and how our daily choices can influence the way we age.

Curious? If you’d like to listen in as my guest, simply comment below or send me a DM and I’ll happily send you the zoom link.

Have a beautiful Monday 😊
