Community Support Worker – 12 Hours Per Week x 2

We have 2 vacancies available, each offering 24 hours per week, worked as 2 x 12-hour vacancies across 7 days.

The role involves supporting a lady with maintaining her independence and enjoying day-to-day life. This includes:

* Supporting her to access activities such as swimming — you do not need to swim
* Attending appointments
* Supporting her with community activities and outings
* Helping her maintain her usual daily routine and independence

She has her own car, which can be used when required.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient, friendly and enjoys helping others live an active and fulfilling life.

Hours: 24 hours per week
Shifts: 2 x 12 hours over 7 days

Location: Bartley Green, Birmingham

🩷💙 we normally support our lovely Gent Andrew twice a week.

This is no ordinary week, Andrew had to go into hospital for a small surgery this weekend so we were called upon to look after the rather gorgeous Freddie!

We popped in to see him twice a day for fusses and plays and quite a few Dreamies (sorry Andrew) 🤣🤣

It was a pleasure to support the furry family of the people that we support while his Dad was in hospital - see you soon Freddie, oh and Andrew 🤣🤣

Just one of the many things we a do here at Mariposa Community Support, all of our staff are pet approved 🤣

Part time vacancy upto 12 hours a week. ⭐ Please be aware that these hours cannot be guaranteed each week as we work to the needs and requirements of our service users. ⭐

As our services continue to expand, we are recruiting a kind, caring and compassionate individual to join our team.
Providing support and companionship to our service users.

We currently have the following requirements for service available. ⭐ not guaranteed- to meet the needs of our service users ⭐

Monday 16:30 -19:00 (travel to Kidderminster and back)
Tuesday 11-1
Wednesday 15:30 (1 hour)
Friday 10:15 - 11:45 and 16:30 - 17:30

Alternate weekends
Saturday 10:00 - 12:30 and 14:00 - 15:30

Sunday - 1 hour flexible afternoon.

Candidates MUST be available to the above time weekly.

📍Full UK driving licence with business insurance
📍Access to their own transport
📍 Flexible approach to sometimes cover annual leave

The lady we are supporting today is 94 years old and loves to get her steps in 🩷

Next up, wardrobe shopping and a spot of lunch 🥪

🩷💙 this weekend at Mariposa Community Support

It was such a pleasure to companionship one of our newest service users, the delightful Julia, this lady is in her 90’s and very much still willing and able, we collected her from home took a drive into Town for a stroll to Asda for the paper and some milk and stopped of for coffee and cake 🍰 such a pleasure.

The second call of the day was to assist one of our ladies with her weekly shop, so off to Asda again it was 🥰 whilst there it would of been rude not to visit the clothes section.. yep, you got it! A couple of essential items for the summer wardrobe was purchased 🤣

Then off for fish and chips and a washing up bowl!

Today! We’re off to cook a Sunday lunch and mow the lawn for our Pauline 🥰
