So Yesterday’s run didn’t quite go to plan… 😅🏃♀️
Running down Park Lane in Basford, I tripped and fell. I scraped my hand, grazed my knee, ripped my running trousers…( swetty betty 1s gutted 😞) but after a quick check over, I got back up and carried on running.
I didn’t manage as many miles as I’d planned, but I still finished my run, and I’m proud of that.
This morning, I was a little nervous about heading back out. My knee is too sore for running leggings, so for the first time ever I had to wear shorts! 🩳 I could have stayed at home feeling sorry for myself, but I knew getting out there was exactly what I needed.
So I laced up my trainers, headed out, and completed 2 miles. It felt great. ❤️
Sometimes it’s not about smashing your biggest distance or setting a personal best. Sometimes the biggest achievement is simply getting back up both after a fall and the next day when fear tries to stop you.
Have you ever had a fall or a trip while out running (or exercising) and carried on afterwards? Or did it knock your confidence for a while?
Let me know in the comments. 👇🏃♀️
