DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE CONSTANTLY IN SURVIVAL MODE?!

I have women who come to me wanting to make a big change . . . not about their weight, but how they feel.
They want to stop surviving...
And want to start to THRIVING.

They are not just feeling tired; but being exhausted.
Waking up tired.
Relying on caffeine to get through the morning.
Hitting a brick wall by lunch.
Nothing left for family, friends, the hobbies, the passions at home
Nothing left for themselves.

We blame our age.
We blame menopause.
We blame ourself.....and pile on the guilt.

So we just try to push through.
Try harder.
To exercise more.
To sleep more.
To "get on with it."

But living in survival mode isn't something you simply have to accept.
The truth is, fatigue during perimenopause and menopause is often your body asking for support, not punishment.

So instead of adding more pressure, my clients receive a different approach.

๐Ÿ’œ We build strength to support changing hormones.
๐Ÿ’œ We match exercise to energy instead of ignoring it.
๐Ÿ’œ We prioritise recovery just as much as training.
๐Ÿ’œ We focus on nourishment and fuel.
๐Ÿ’œ We look at stress, sleep and daily habits, not just workouts.

Over time, energy starts to increase.
Enjoying walks with friends instead of cancelling them.
Play time with the kids is fun and fulfilling, rather than feeling wiped out
Afternoon naps become a thing of the past.
Work becomes more productive and time efficient

Energy grows!
We laugh more.
We smile more.
We feel like the woman we want to be again.
We feel present instead of exhausted.

Because energy isn't just about getting through your to-do list.
It's about having the freedom to enjoy your life.

Getting older is should not be about feeling old.
Feeling drained isn't something you simply have to accept!
๐Ÿ’œ Does this sound familiar?

The right combination of strength training, hormone-aware movement, recovery, nutrition and lifestyle changes can make a remarkable difference.

Message me "ENERGY" and let's start a conversation about how you can start feeling stronger, more energised and more like yourself again.

DOES PACKING THAT SUITCASE FILL YOU WITH ANXIETY AND DREAD?!

The Summer Holiday Confidence Shift

Imagine:
Packing clothes you love without anxiety.
No outfit changes.
No standing in front of the mirror feeling disappointed.
No panic-buying oversized clothes because you don't feel comfortable in anything you already own.
Having the confidence to feel great and not worry about what everyone else might think when you step onto the beach.
Looking forward to making memories instead of hiding from the camera.
Focusing on enjoying the holiday you have worked so hard for.

THAT.....is a far bigger transformation than any number on the scales.

When women first came to me, they believe confidence is related to losing weight. That's why they have spent years chasing quick fixes.
Starting again every Monday.
Feeling guilt every time they had a dessert on that nice meal out.
And have been left with frustration, exhaustion and a body they no longer recognise.

So we change the goal.
Instead of trying to become small.
We focus on becoming the STRONG.

We build strength.
We improve mobility and stability.
We worked with hormones instead of against them.
We prioritised nourishment rather than restricting it.

โŒConfidence doesn't come from having the "perfect" holiday body.
๐Ÿ’ซConfidence comes from knowing your body is capable.
๐Ÿ’ซStrong enough to carry your suitcase without struggling.
๐Ÿ’ซConfident enough to jump into the sea with your children or grandchildren without worrying about who's watching.
๐Ÿ’ซPresent enough to enjoy the sunset instead of thinking about calories.

That's the kind of transformation I want for every woman I work with.

If you've been putting your life on hold until you feel "good enough"...
Please....STOP!

Your body deserves kindness now.
Your health deserves investment now.
And you deserve to enjoy every season of your life!

And if you're ready to stop chasing quick fixes and start building lasting confidence, send me a message. Together, we'll create an approach that works with your body, your lifestyle and your hormones.

๐ŸŒ™ YOUR CYCLE IS A GUIDEโ€ฆ NOT A RULEBOOK. ๐Ÿ’œ

One of the biggest misconceptions about training with your menstrual cycle (or using the moon cycle as a guide if you no longer have regular periods) is thinking that every workout should match exactly how you're supposed to feel.

Life isn't that simple.

Maybe you're in the phase where you usually feel energised...

You warm up feeling great.

You start your workout full of motivation.

But after 10 minutes, your energy suddenly disappears.

Should you push through because your cycle says you should feel strong?

Absolutely not.

One of the most powerful things you can learn is to listen to what your body is telling you today, not just what your tracker says.

Your energy is influenced by so much more than hormones.

Ask yourself:

๐Ÿ’ง Have I drunk enough water today?

๐Ÿฅ— Have I eaten enough to fuel this workout?

๐Ÿ˜ด Did I sleep well last night?

๐Ÿ˜ฐ Has today been particularly stressful?

๐Ÿƒ Have I already put my body under pressure with work, family or daily life?

Your cycle is one piece of the puzzle.

Your body is the whole picture.

Sometimes the strongest decision isn't lifting heavier or pushing through another interval.

Sometimes it's reducing the weight.

Walking instead of running.

Swapping HIIT for mobility.

Finishing early because your body has had enough.

That isn't giving up.

That's intelligent training.

When we learn to adjust our workouts instead of forcing our bodies through them, we often recover better, stay more consistent and actually enjoy exercise again.

This is exactly how I coach the women I work withโ€”helping them understand why their energy changes and how to adapt without guilt or frustration.

๐Ÿ’œ If you'd like to learn how to sync your exercise with your menstrual cycle or use the moon cycle as a gentle guide while still listening to your body, comment YES below or send me a message.

I'd love to invite you to a FREE introductory session, where we'll chat about your goals, your energy patterns and run you through an exercise routine that works with your body, not against it.

ARE YOU SCARED THAT STRENGTH TRAINING WILL BULK YOU UP AND LEAVE YOU LIKE ARNIE?!

๐Ÿ’ช If I could recommend just one type of exercise for women over 40,

Strength training WOULD BE IT!

Not because itโ€™s trendy.
Not because itโ€™s about lifting the heaviest weights.

But because it can support you in so many ways during perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

As we get older, we naturally begin to lose muscle mass. Hormonal changes can also affect our bone health, metabolism and the way our bodies recover.

Thatโ€™s why strength training isnโ€™t just about how you look.

Itโ€™s about how you live.

๐Ÿ’œ Building and maintaining muscle to support everyday movement.
๐Ÿ’œ Helping to keep bones strong as we age.
๐Ÿ’œ Supporting a healthy metabolism.
๐Ÿ’œ Improving balance, posture and confidence.
๐Ÿ’œ Making everyday tasksโ€”like carrying shopping, lifting grandchildren or getting up from the floorโ€”feel easier.

One of the biggest transformations I see isnโ€™t physical.

Itโ€™s confidence.

Thereโ€™s something incredibly empowering about discovering youโ€™re stronger than you thought.

You donโ€™t need to spend hours in the gym or lift enormous weights.

A couple of well-planned strength sessions each week, using resistance bands, dumbbells or even your own body weight, can make a real difference over time.

Progress isnโ€™t about perfection.

Itโ€™s about showing up consistently and giving your body the support it deserves.

๐Ÿ’œ Your future self will thank you for every squat, every press and every lift you do today.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Are you currently strength training? If so, whatโ€™s your favourite exercise? If not, whatโ€™s stopping you? Iโ€™d love to know.

Pop a YES below ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡ and letโ€™s start a conversation about how to future-proof your body, today! ๐Ÿ’ช

DO YOU FILL WITH GUILT WHEN YOUR WORKOUT FEELS LIKE A WASTE OF TIME?!

Have you ever noticed how some days you feel strong, energised and ready to take on the world...
..and then the following week, the very same workout feels like you're dragging your body through mud?

You're lifting the same weights.
You're doing the same class.
You're putting in the same effort.
So what's changed?

It's no secret....it's your hormones!
Yet why are so many of us not taking notice of them?

Throughout your menstrual cycle, levels of oestrogen and progesterone naturally rise and fall. And during perimenopause, these patterns start to have a party of their own! These hormonal shifts can influence your:

๐Ÿ’œ Energy levels
๐Ÿ’œ Strength and power
๐Ÿ’œ Sleep and Recovery
๐Ÿ’œ Motivation
๐Ÿ’œ Coordination
๐Ÿ’œ Body temperature

Days 1 - 19 are when energy levels tend to be higher, making it a great time to enjoy higher-intensity exercise and mix in some heavier strength training (day 11-15).

From day 20, we tire more easily, feel warmer, recover more slowly or simply don't have the same drive to get going.
And that's completely normal.

This is where cycle syncing comes into its own!

Cycle syncing isn't about avoiding exercise or making excuses.
It's about understanding your body's natural rhythm and adapting your training to support how you're feeling.

Some days this will mean high intensity.
Some days, lifting heavier.
Other days it might mean choosing Pilates, yoga, walking or a lighter strength session instead.

The goal isn't to do less.
The goal is to work with your body instead of constantly fighting against it.

When you stop expecting yourself to perform at 100% every single day, exercise often becomes more enjoyable, more sustainable, more effective and actually leave you energised.

Have you noticed this pattern?
Iโ€™d love to hear your experience and see your comments below.

DO YOU FIND YOUR ENERGY HAS PEAKS AND TROUGHS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH?

Have you ever had days where you feel energised, focused and ready to take on the world... and other days where all you want to do is slow down and recharge?

While science hasn't established that the moon directly affects our hormones, many women find that paying attention to the lunar cycle encourages them to become more aware of their own energy, emotions and need for rest.

Think of the moon as a mindfulness tool rather than a rulebook.

Each phase can act as a gentle reminder to check in with yourself instead of constantly pushing through.

๐ŸŒ‘ New Moon: A time to slow down, reflect and set intentions. Gentle movement like walking, stretching or yoga may feel more supportive.

๐ŸŒ“ Waxing Moon: Energy often begins to build. This can be a great time to challenge yourself with HIIT/circuits and strength training; building healthy habits.

๐ŸŒ• Full Moon: Feeling more energetic, motivated and stronger! Challenge yourself with those heavy weights.

๐ŸŒ— Waning Moon: Time to recover while prioritising mobility, stability, balance and restorative movement and quality sleep.

Whether you notice changes with the moon or not, regularly checking in with your body is a powerful habit.

Cycle-syncing exercise isn't about following rigid rules, it's about becoming more connected to what your body needs at different times.

The more you listen, the better you can support your health, your movement and your wellbeing.

๐Ÿ’œ Comment "MOON" and let's start a conversation about how the moon can help you, TODAY!

ARE YOUR HORMONES AND CYCLE ALL OVER THE PLACE?

WHAT IF THE MOON COULD HELP YOU SLOW DOWN AND CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF?

Even if you no longer have a regular menstrual cycle, the Moon can still offer a gentle rhythm for reflection, movement and self-care.

Before you think, "This sounds a bit woo-woo!", hear me out.

Our bodies aren't designed to operate at full speed every single day.
Life naturally has seasons, rhythms and periods of activity and rest.
Some women find that using the Moon's monthly cycle simply gives them a regular reminder to pause and ask:

๐Ÿ’œ How is my energy today?
๐Ÿ’œ What does my body need?
๐Ÿ’œ Should I challenge myself or allow myself to recover?

You don't have to believe the Moon changes your hormones for this to be helpful.
Think of it as a monthly wellbeing check-in.

Here's one way you could use each phase:

๐ŸŒ‘ New Moon
A fresh start. Set intentions, plan your workouts and think about what you want to achieve over the next few weeks.

๐ŸŒ“ Waxing Moon
Energy is building. This can be a great time to focus on consistency, strength training and creating positive habits.

๐ŸŒ• Full Moon
Pause and celebrate. Reflect on what's going well, enjoy moving your body and recognise your progress, however small.

๐ŸŒ˜ Waning Moon
Slow things down. Prioritise recovery, stretching, stability and balance.

At PurpleBodyBalance, I'm passionate about helping women build a healthier relationship with exercise.

Not every workout has to leave you exhausted.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is simply listen to your body.

๐Ÿ’œ If you're looking for a more balanced, hormone-aware approach to fitness, I offer FREE sessions for new clients.

Send me a DM with the word BALANCE and let's chat about finding an approach that works for you.

๐Ÿ‘‡ Do you ever notice changes in your mood, sleep or energy around the full moon or new moon? I'd love to hear your experience in the comments.

TRAINING HARD BUT NOT SEEING ANY RESULTS?!

Pushing harder in the gym isn't the answer. In fact, it's holding you back!

When women first come to me, they always believe they have been doing everything they thought they are supposed to do.

Excessive cardio most days.
High-intensity workouts whenever they could fit them.
Restricting calories and eating less.
Pushing through the fatigue.
Praying they would finally start seeing results.

But instead...

The constant exhaustion takes its toll.
Energy disappears
Sleep gets worse.
The numbers on the scales weren't changing
And The guilt of failing really kicks in

Sound familiar?

Here's what many women don't realise.
During perimenopause, your body becomes more sensitive to stress.
And while exercise is incredibly beneficial, the wrong type of exercise becomes another stressor to your already overworked nervous system.

So the women I support change the plan.
Not because exercise was the problem.
But because their body needs something different.

Endless cardio is swapped for purposefully strength training.
Mundane, isolated exercises replaced by versatile, functional movement.
Hormonal overwhelm exchanged for stability, balance and energy.

The results work!
โœจ More energy throughout the day.
โœจ Recovering faster after workouts.
โœจ Strength increasing week after week.
โœจ Clothes fitting more comfortably.
โœจ No more guilt for taking a rest day.
โœจ Exercise becomes something to look forward to instead of dreading

Progress doesn't come from doing more.
It comes from doing what your body actually needs.

Perimenopause isn't a sign to stop moving.
It's a sign to start moving smarter.

Your body is changing.
Your training should change with it.

Working with your hormones instead of against them can be the difference between feeling burnt out... and feeling stronger than ever.

๐Ÿ’œ Comment "ME" below๐Ÿ‘‡ if this resonates with you and let's start a conversation about syncing exercise with your hormones.

I'd love to hear your experience in the comments.
You're not the only one feeling this way.

09/07/2026

Do you ever take time to pause?

๐ŸŒ‘ I don't use the moon to predict my future. I use it to pause and reflect.

Life can feel busy, especially when you're juggling work, family (old and young!), relationships and trying to look after yourself too.

It's easy to keep going without stopping to ask, "How am I actually feeling?"

That's why I love using the New Moon as a simple monthly reminder to check in with myself.

Not because I believe it has magical powers, but because it gives me a regular moment to pause.

To ask myself:
๐Ÿ’œ How are my energy levels?
๐Ÿ’œ Am I sleeping well?
๐Ÿ’œ Is my current exercise routine supporting me or draining me?
๐Ÿ’œ What does my body need more of this month?
๐Ÿ’œ What small habit would make the biggest difference?

Our wellbeing isn't built through huge changes.
It's built through the small choices we make consistently.

Maybe this month your intention is to:
โœจ Train with your cycle and energy levels.
โœจ Drink more water.
โœจ Prioritise sleep.
โœจ Walk outside every day.
โœจ Stop feeling guilty for taking rest days.

Mine....definitely to drink more water and priortise sleep in this warmer weather!
Whatever it is, let it be something that supports you, not something you feel you "should" do.

๐ŸŒ‘ A new month doesn't require a new you.
Sometimes it just needs a kinder plan.

๐Ÿ‘‡ As the New Moon apporaches on the 14th, what are you choosing to focus on this month?
I'd love to hear your intention in the comments.

Drop a "ME" below to find out more about syncing your exercise with the Moon Cycle and the FREE sessions open to New clients.
