I didn’t leave my old career because I couldn’t cope.
I left because I could feel there was another way to live and work and I couldn’t ignore it anymore.
After nearly 20 years in a fast-paced creative industry, long hours and constant pressure were just normal. No space for proper meals, movement, or the people I cared about.
Eventually, that quiet inner voice got louder: there has to be a different way. One that doesn’t cost everything else.
For the last 10 years, I’ve worked with women through yoga and wellbeing, helping them find calm when life feels like too much.
But something has shifted.
The women I’m hearing from now aren’t falling apart. They’re functioning brilliantly. Holding everything together. Being the reliable one at work, at home, in every direction.
And yet they’re saying things like:
“I’m exhausted… but I don’t want to let anyone down.”
“This pace doesn’t fit me anymore.”
“Everyone relies on me… but I don’t want this version of it.”
This isn’t burnout in the obvious sense.
It’s a quiet re-evaluation.
Not “I can’t do this.”
More “I don’t want to do this like this anymore.”
I’ve started calling this the She-Wolf stage.
The moment a woman stops performing strength… and starts choosing what actually works for her now.
And I recognise it in myself too.
I haven’t just been teaching wellbeing for the last decade, I’ve been building a life that feels different from the one I left. One where success isn’t measured by exhaustion. Where space, movement, and ease are part of the structure, not a reward for getting everything done.
Something new is forming from that.
Not a reinvention. A deeper alignment.
A way of supporting women to lead themselves differently to create success, freedom, and wellbeing without losing their edge.
If this lands, I’d love to know where you are in this stage - still holding it all together, or starting to feel the shift?
