****MISSION STATEMENT****

-To provide peer support for men who may have experienced mental health issues, including anxiety and depression.

-Based on a football theme, the group can connect with men who may otherwise avoid accessing mainstream health service provision.

-By providing peer support in a non-clinical environment, men are able to communicate with one another over a common interest.


-To further develop activity based sessions e.g; music group, pool group, arts and cultural activity

Today the group is off to Bradford, with members taking in the Industrial Museum and the National Science and Media Museum.

Fourteen years ago today, ignorance and hatred ignited into violence.

Sophie and her boyfriend suffered the ferocious and sustained attack that caused Sophie’s death thirteen days later.

Today we remember them and reaffirm our commitment to S.O.P.H.I.E - to Stamp Out Prejudice Hatred and Intolerance Everywhere.

We will keep working to help shape a world where we can be who we are without fear of violence and intolerance.

Though it might seem as though we've not been active much, were still working on getting our regular schedule up and running again when the regulations allow. In the coming weeks we'll be looking at restarting our walking group and the indoor walking football group, as well as the viability of restarting our meetings at the CVS building. In the mean time some members have recently taken the opportunity to meet up in small groups outdoors. ✌️🙂
