How long does an Ekseption Ageless Peel take me? 🤔

About the same amount of time it takes to have a quick tidy up after a busy day in clinic.! 🧹✨

I'd done a peel for a client and everything I needed was already there. So I had a quick Cleanse (with Ekseption All in One Cleanse and Peel)and popped the peel on. Wore my gloves and protected my eyes (we still do it properly on ourselves). Then, while I was busy sterilising tweezers and cleaning trollies, this lovely peel got to work on my skin. 💆‍♀️

If you've ever found yourself tearing up when talking about unwanted hair, please know you're not alone. ❤️

In fact, it happens far more often than most people realise. For many people, excess hair isn't "just hair"—it's years of frustration, embarrassment, hiding away, or feeling like they're fighting their own reflection.

As a therapist, I completely understand. There's never any judgement in my treatment room, and if a few tears appear during your consultation, that's absolutely okay.

Sometimes, letting it all out is actually the best place to start. It's the moment you stop carrying it on your own and start doing something about it.

And remember, in the immortal words of D:Ream... 🎵 things can only get better.

Your journey doesn't start when the hair disappears. It starts the moment you decide you deserve help. 💕

Obvs, the hot date doesn't have to be your husband, or anyone else's. I don't have one myself.
But the message is the same.

Don't pluck. You can use nail scissors, but I still find them a bit random when snipping in a mirror.

Do put some moisturiser (non-perfumed, fairly basic) or aloe Vera to take any heat out and protect where the razor has been.

Do NOT do this on large areas. It DOES aggravate the barrier and disturb your microbiome.

It IS a quick fix.

So, I was digging over an old bed where I was taking out an overgrown plant to make room for strawberries. A small fig tree is already there and tomato and courgette plants. It's the beginning of something new. A little summer vegetable patch. This is what came to mind.

1. Permanent hair removal is a bit like restoring a garden. 🪴
You can’t just pull one w**d and expect the whole bed to stay clear forever. You have to keep returning at the right times, working with the natural growth cycles, ⏰️ until the roots stop coming back. Electrolysis works the same way — consistency is what creates lasting results.

2. Healthy growth 💐 starts underneath the surface.
When I’m turning over soil, I’m not just looking at what’s visible on top. I’m improving the environment underneath so healthier things can grow. With excess hair, we also have to look after the body that the hair is growing in — stress, hormones, skincare, inflammation, all matter. Treatment works best when the whole environment is supported. ❤️ 💙 💜

3. Progress often looks messy before it looks beautiful. 🗑
Gardens can look worse while you’re clearing old roots, cutting things back, and preparing for new growth. Electrolysis journeys can feel like that too. There’s patience involved, repeat visits, and trust in the process — but eventually, you create something calmer, clearer, and easier to maintain long-term.
