🤔Have you ever wondered why some women are prescribed HRT tablets only, while others use gels, patches or sprays in combination with a progesterone.

ℹ If you've come across names such as Elleste Duet or Elleste Duet Conti, you're not alone. These treatments have been part of menopause care for many years, but prescribing patterns have changed significantly over the last decade.

In our latest blog, menopause specialist Dr Lucy Mather explores:

✔ What Elleste Duet and Elleste Duet Conti are
✔ How menopause treatment has evolved
✔ Why many women are now prescribed transdermal HRT
✔ What body-identical HRT means
✔ Whether changing treatment is always necessary

One of the biggest myths around HRT is that newer automatically means better.

The reality is that the best treatment is the one that is safe, effective and right for you.

🤔Many women are unsure why they need it, when they should take it, or whether it's even necessary for them.

ℹ In this reel, Dr Lucy Mather, NHS GP and BMS Registered Menopause Specialist, explains the role progesterone plays in menopause treatment and answers some of the questions she is asked most often in clinic.

She covers:
✨ What is progesterone for
✨ Why some women need progesterone alongside oestrogen
✨ When and how progesterone is usually taken
✨ Alternative ways progesterone can be provided
✨ Which women may not need progesterone as part of their HRT

Menopause treatment should be tailored to the individual. Understanding the different hormones involved can help you feel more confident about your options and the conversations you have with your healthcare professional.

If you've ever wondered why progesterone has been added to your HRT prescription, this reel is for you.

🤔Did you know there isn't just one type of oestrogen HRT?

Many women have heard of Oestrogel, but fewer realise there are also patches, sprays, tablets and vaginal oestrogen treatments available. The right option for you can depend on your symptoms, lifestyle, medical history and personal preference.

If you've ever found yourself wondering:

✨ What's the difference between Oestrogel and Sandrena?
✨ Are patches better than gels?
✨ What is vaginal oestrogen used for?
✨ Which type of HRT might suit me?

You're not alone.

Understanding your options can make menopause feel far less overwhelming and help you have more informed conversations about your health.

In our latest blog, Dr Lucy Mather explains the different types of oestrogen used in HRT, how they work, and why there is no one-size-fits-all approach to menopause care.

Because every woman's experience is different, and treatment should be too.

ℹ Not all oestrogen treatments are the same, and the option that suits your friend may not be the one that suits you.

In this reel, Dr Lucy Mather, NHS GP and BMS Registered Menopause Specialist, explains Sandrena Gel, a body-identical oestrogen that is absorbed through the skin and may be preferred by some women in certain circumstances.

She covers:
✨ What Sandrena Gel is
✨ How it is applied
✨ How it differs from other oestrogen options
✨ Why some women may choose it as part of their HRT
✨ What to consider when discussing treatment options with your healthcare professional

Menopause care is never one-size-fits-all. The good news is that there are more options available than many women realise.

If you've ever wondered whether there might be an alternative that suits you better, this reel is well worth a watch.

🤔Am I too old or too late to start HRT?

It’s one of the questions Dr Lucy Mather hears most often from women in clinic, and for many, it’s the reason they’ve spent years silently struggling with symptoms.

The truth is, there is no single cut-off age for asking for help.

ℹ If hormonal changes are affecting how you feel, whether that’s anxiety, poor sleep, hot flushes, brain fog, low mood, exhaustion or simply not feeling like yourself. You deserve support and evidence-based advice.

At Jaya Life, Dr Lucy Mather, a British Menopause Society registered menopause specialist and GP, sees women before, during and after menopause to help them better understand their symptoms and explore treatment options that fit their health needs and lifestyle.

For some women, that may include HRT. For others, it may not. The important thing is having the conversation, and holistically review all your current symptoms, medical history and life events.

You are not too late.
You are not making a fuss.
And you do not have to just put up with it.

👉Watch Dr Lucy’s reel for reassurance on when to seek support, and why it’s never too early, or necessarily too late, to ask questions about your hormones and menopause health.
