Hello Tavistock families 💜🐒🧡

I’m so excited to finally share that FunkyMunky Tamar Valley will be launching a brand new weekly class in Lamerton from Thursday 11th June ✨

FunkyMunky is a relaxed, child-led music and movement session for babies, toddlers and preschoolers 🎶🫧🌈

Our sessions are all about music, imagination, movement and fun, with little ones free to join in however they feel comfortable — whether that’s dancing in the middle, watching quietly, exploring at their own pace or simply soaking it all in 💖

We use props, bubbles, ribbons, instruments, parachutes and lots of imaginative play in a warm and welcoming environment for both children and grown-ups too ✨

As well as being lots of fun for little ones, FunkyMunky is also a lovely space for parents, grandparents, carers and childminders to connect, have a chat and meet others too ☕💛

I currently run sessions in Golberdon, Callington and have absolutely loved watching the little community there begin to grow 🥹✨

Hi everyone! 💛☀️

I’m back in Cornwall after a lovely, if slightly chaotic (life with 3 children 😅🙈) holiday in Spain and really looking forward to a summer term of moving and grooving with some little monkeys 💜🐒🎶✨

I also have a little FunkyMunky update…

As the group gets ready to grow beyond Cornwall and into the Tavistock area too ✨ I’ve decided to give the page a new name:

🌿 FunkyMunky Tamar Valley 🌿

The new name feels like a much better fit for the lovely communities we’re beginning to build across both sides of the border 💖

You’ll still find the same relaxed, child-led music and movement sessions full of dancing, bubbles, imagination, props, wiggles and fun — just now with exciting plans for a brand new class coming soon too 👀✨

Thank you so much for all of your support so far. It has been such a pleasure meeting so many lovely little monkeys and their grown-ups already 🐒💜🥹🧡🐒

Happy Bank Holiday everyone ☀️💛

Hope you’re all enjoying the sunshine and making the most of the long weekend 🌼

Just a little reminder that there are no FunkyMunky sessions tomorrow or next Tuesday due to half term and the fact that I’ll be away on holiday with my family on the 2nd 🏖️✨

I can’t wait to see everyone again on Tuesday 9th June for lots more wiggles, giggles, dancing and hopefully some more sunshine so we can enjoy some sessions outside too ☀️🪁🐒

I’d also just like to take a moment to thank all of the lovely families who have joined us on this new adventure so far 💖

It has been such a pleasure meeting so many gorgeous little faces — and their grown-ups too 🥹✨ 💖 Watching the little monkeys grow in confidence, explore, play and make connections has honestly been so special, and I already feel really proud of the lovely little community we’re creating together 💖💖

Anyone else waiting for summer to properly start?! ☀️😅🌦️

Whatever the weather is doing outside, we’ll be bringing the sunshine at FunkyMunky this morning 🧡🐒💜✨

This week we will be
🐴 trotting around like horses
🛸 blasting off into space
🌈 shaking our ribbons
🐠 diving into the ocean - I wonder what creatures we will see?!
🦖 stomping like dinosaurs!

Plus bubbles, props, dancing, imagination and plenty of little monkey fun 🎶🫧💃

A relaxed, child-led session where little ones can join in however they feel comfortable — whether that’s dancing in the middle, watching quietly or exploring at their own pace 💖

☕️ As well as chance for you to have a cuppa and a chat with other parents/ grandparents/ carers 💖

Our last FunkyMunky session before half term is tomorrow 💜 🐒🧡 You are welcome to join us, even if you haven’t been before!

What a lovely first term it has been ✨

Thank you so much to everyone who has come along and joined in with all the wiggling, shaking, singing, dancing, bubbles, fun and connection 💃🫧🎶💖

I have honestly loved every single minute of starting up this little group and watching the little monkeys grow in confidence, explore, play and make friendships — alongside the grown-ups too 🥹✨

We’ll be taking a little 2 week break for half term as I’m off on holiday with my family ☀️🏖️ but we’ll be back on Tuesday 9th June and I can’t wait to see everyone again 💜

And keep your eyes peeled too… there may be news of a brand new FunkyMunky class coming very soon 👀🐒✨

For the first time, we took our kites out onto the field and it was so lovely watching the little monkeys running, dancing and flying them in the sunshine 🪁✨

Looking for something to do with your little one on a Tuesday morning? 💛🐒💜

Come along to FunkyMunky for a relaxed, child-led music and movement session where little ones can join in at their own pace 💖

We’ll hopefully be getting our kites out tomorrow too 🤞☀️🤞 — one of my favourite songs, and always such a lovely one to watch little monkeys explore, dance and fly them around the field 🪁✨

There’ll be songs, props, bubbles and plenty of fun, with time for little ones to play and grown-ups to have a chat and a coffee too.
