We are moving to digital patient letters 📱

More people are choosing to access information and services digitally. This change supports the NHS 10-Year Health (Fit for the Future) Plan, and will help patients receive important information more quickly, securely and conveniently.

By reducing reliance on postal services, we can help improve communication, reduce missed appointments and support our commitment to sustainability.

This is known as Digital First, not digital only - patients who cannot access digital communications, or who prefer not to receive information digitally, will continue to be supported with postal correspondence.

🔆With today set to be the hottest day of the week, we need your help to ensure we're available for those who need us most.

🚑Please keep 999 for life-threatening emergencies and make use of alternative services including NHS 111 for help and advice.

📞If you're not facing a life-threatening emergency you're likely get a call back from a clinician who can discuss your concerns in more detail and, where appropriate, may direct you to another service better placed to meet your needs.

💊Help is also available from your GP or from local pharmacists, many of who can offer prescription medicine for a number of minor conditions.

Join us for our next online health information event tomorrow, Wednesday 29 July, from 6.30pm-7.30pm titled: ‘Urgent and Emergency Care at Frimley Health' with Dr. Anika Wijewardane, Dr. Daven H. Amin, Charlotte Freeman and Clair Holland.

Together, they will share an overview of our urgent and emergency care services, including recent developments, corridor care, rising attendances, future plans, and the wider impact on services for patients and staff.

Over the weekend we have had a lot of comments posted that go against our social media guidelines and principles. To help keep our pages welcoming and informative for all, please avoid posting the same comments repeatedly across multiple posts and ensure discussions remain respectful and courteous, not only to us but to fellow members of your community. This applies to all posts, not just those related to the new hospital programme.

We understand the strength of feeling around the preferred new hospital site and encourage everyone to share their views through the official consultation channels, linked in the comments.

Advance notice - Frimley Park Hospital:

As part of the ongoing refurbishment works taking place in the reception area of Frimley Park Hospital the main entrance will be closed from 10pm Friday 31 July until 6am Monday 3 August.

Please follow the diversion signage that will be in place or utilise entrances B or C depending on your needs.

Anyone can become unwell when the weather is hot, but some are at higher risk than others.

Look out for older people, people with long-term health conditions and young children who may find it more difficult to stay cool and hydrated in hot weather.

A yellow heat-health alert is in place across parts of England until 9am on Sunday. Hot weather will be great for some of us, but it can put some people’s health at risk - particularly those over 65, babies and young children under 5.

We understand that patients and families may want to capture special moments or stay connected with loved ones. If you're taking photos or recording, please respect the privacy and dignity of other patients, visitors and staff.

Always seek consent before photographing or filming others, and do not share content on social media without explicit permission. Patients may record their own consultations for personal use, but please speak to staff first.

Today, we've published the site selection summary for our local communities. The publication includes the criteria used to assess every site, the reasoning behind each decision, and the scores given.

The current public engagement period that’s running until September will be extended so that we hear from as many people as possible while plans are still developing.

There will be more public engagement on traffic, transport and environmental issues starting later this year ahead of a planning application in autumn 2027. There will be a full public consultation on the proposed site through the local authority planning process.
