What do holidays mean to you? People used to say “sun, sea and sand" but after all the heat we’ve experienced recently, perhaps we are fed up of struggling to get things done in this hot weather!
For me, holidays are all about escaping from the everyday - having time to relax; to explore new places; to try some different food. Getting away from work, housework, every day responsibilities, and having time to do things that you don’t usually ‘allow' yourself to do.
But we shouldn’t need to go away to do this; making time for self-care is important for our wellbeing. And it’s not being selfish or lazy. In fact it enables us to be in a better place to do all the things that we need to. We can be more productive at work, cope more calmly in stressful situations and show up as we want to in relationships.
If you are finding life difficult and want to get back to being a more peaceful you, but aren’t able to go on holiday, or don’t know how to simply be you, then email me ([email protected]) or contact me via my website
