Hello

The committee has arranged a meeting on Wednesday 24th June at 7:30pm, it would be wonderful to see everyone.

The purpose of this meeting is to explain the current position in more detail, answer questions, and discuss what would be required should there be sufficient interest in forming a new committee.

It would be wonderful to get as many people there as possible so as best to spread the message to everyone and hopefully we can find a way to reestablish the Preschool in one form or another.

Good morning Hauxton Preschool, just an extra note of clarity, this page is not associated with the current committee and is being done privately to help awareness.

Also the go fund me page will be closed at the end of the month as the charity will be closed at the end of term there are legal requirements that have to be met and adhered to.

With regards to private ownership, if someone were to take the venture on please be aware of course all registrations and permissions will have to be sought to open the preschool if you were to use the current site on the primary school gounds.

Just a note to ensure clarity.

The preschool will be closing in July. While there may be an opportunity for resurrection of the setting in the future, this would require a newly formed committee, significant fundraising, a manager would need to be sourced. At present, there is no confirmed plan in place for this to happen.

All staff are willing to stay with the preschool as they love it as much as the village does.

If someone was to take over the preschool as a business there would be no need for a committee but as it stands currently it is committee run.

So if you wish to help and become a committee member or wish to take on this fantastic setting as a whole, please email [email protected]

There will be a meeting for everyone to attend soon and further details will be posted about this.

Also just a side note a go fund me is being setup and the link to this will be shared asap for anyone who wishes to make a donation.

Hello all,

Welcome to the Save Hauxton Preschool page.

The village of Hauxton is only small approximately 1,400 residence, for the past 49 years it has had it's ownn Preschool, come September 2026 it would mark 50 years from when Ann Hooper started in the village hall.

If we don't get more children in or a donation made towards the running, then come the end of term in July, the Preschool will close it's door for the last time.

Please help us to save our Preschool for future generations to come.
