5 QUICK QUESTIONS WITH ANDREA đ©·
1. What made you get into fitness?
I qualified as a fitness instructor back in 1995, and honestly, fitness has been part of my life ever since.
Over the years itâs changed massively for me. Itâs gone from being about classes, cardio and how I looked⊠to being much more about strength, health, energy, confidence and being able to keep doing the things I love as I get older.
2. Whatâs your favourite type of workout?
These days, probably strength training.
I still love anything with a bit of energy, and Step will always have a place in my heart đ but I really love how strong and capable strength training makes me feel.
3. Whatâs one fitness myth you wish people would stop believing?
That if youâre not getting results, the answer is always to eat less and exercise more.
Especially for women in midlife.
Sometimes the answer is better nutrition, more protein, more strength training, better recovery, more sleep and actually being a bit kinder to your body rather than constantly trying to punish it.
4. Whatâs your biggest piece of advice for someone starting out?
Start where you are.
Donât wait until Monday.
Donât try to change everything overnight.
Donât compare yourself to anybody else.
Walk more.
Lift some weights.
Eat well most of the time.
Drink your water.
Find movement you actually enjoy.
Then build from there.
5. What does fitness mean to you now?
It means being able to live my life properly.
Feeling strong.
Having energy.
Being independent.
Looking after my physical and mental health.
And hopefully future-proofing my body for the years ahead.
For me, thatâs what Stronger. Healthier. Happier. is really all about. đ©·
