⏳ 2024 is ending in 3 months.

💥 Don’t wait for next year to get in shape!

✅ Do these 6 things over the next 90 days to transform how you look by 2025:

🧭 1. What is the destination?

🚢 Think of a ship leaving a harbor with a clear journey and destination.

🎯 Set clear, specific goals for yourself to ensure you reach your destination.

❌ Without goals, you’ll be lost.

🧠 2. Shift the mental image you have of yourself.

💪 Your self-image affects your actions and results.

🍽 If you believe it’s impossible, you’ll stop taking action.

🏋‍♂ Change how you view yourself to change your outcomes.

🔑 3. If the ‘why’ is powerful, the ‘how’ becomes easy.

✨ A strong reason drives action.

❤ People quit smoking after heart attacks because their reason becomes urgent.

📈 4. Systems

🛠 You don’t rise to your goals, you fall to your systems.

🎯 Two people with the same goals can have different results because of their systems.

🤝 5. Accountability

📅 You’re 65% more likely to achieve goals if you commit to someone.

👀 With ongoing check-ins, the chance rises to 95%.

🚀 6. Know The Time To Act

🔥 Act when the idea is hot and the emotion is strong.

🍎 Start simple, like eating an apple a day or taking a short walk.

What does it mean to acknowledge your small wins? 🥳 🎈

It’s the 3rd of July today, which means half of 2021 has already passed by, which means there’s 6 months remaining to make the most of it 😃

Over the years I’ve noticed that I’ve become more and more self critical of myself.

Chances are, if you are always striving to do better, to push yourself in improving and achieving great things, when things dont happen when you want them to..

You may also be harsh on yourself and think of yourself as a failure 👎🏽

The problem I noticed was, the more I kept telling me self that I didn’t do well enough, I started believing it and my mindset started shifting towards a very negative one and it became detrimental

Reflect upon the first six months of the year, and although you may not be where you’d like to be or where you planned to be right now.. appreciate how far you’ve come..

don’t allow your small achievements to go unnoticed

Slow progress is still progress that we’re able to build upon.

I kept telling myself, I’ve wasted the last 6 months, but after going through it with a fine-tooth comb..

I learnt to appreciate the small wins..

for example, I made progress with my career finishing the first 6 months of my GP training, I got into the best shape of my life physically, I had the opportunity to work with two of the biggest global fitness brands - and

As humans we are very self critical and always emphasise on the things we don’t achieve..

Cut yourself some slack and learn to appreciate how far you’ve come, so you can build on it over the remaining 6 months of the year 👊🏽💯

Go crush!

Today was the first time i took part in a yoga class 🧘‍♂️

I walked into the studio whilst at the gym and realised the class was about to start, i remembered my physio and also my sports massage therapist, both telling me to incorporate mobility work into my routine

It was the best class I’ve been to, both physically and mentally 🧠

I felt so relaxed but at the same time it was challenging, considering my body is so stiff (its no wonder i keep getting injured) 🤕

I hid at the back back of the room in the corner because I was embarrassed with my lack of flexibility lol 😂

I guess, the reason I’m making this post is because had i not chose to participate in the class, instead of training chest and back, I wouldn’t have discovered the benefits and the satisfaction it brought me

I’m the type of person who hates trying new things, whether its food, or whether its something I haven’t done before

And it made me think, imagine someone like Messi hadn’t tried to play football, he wouldn’t have never discovered his ability and talent playing football, and we wouldn’t have witnessed one of the greatest players in the world

Life is short, todays experience inspired me to build the courage to try new things, try things I’ve never done before and discover what i enjoy and even some of my unknown talents (we all have talent, it’s just about discovering what it is right?) 🤔

On a side note, another reason I haven’t been that active on social media is because i started seeing it as a chore and a burden, rather than the reason i initially started my page; because i had a passion to inspire and encourage others to be more healthy.

I want to take that burden off myself, not worry about the time i post, whether the picture is good enough to post, whether there is enough interaction on it.. etc

I just want to use my page as a public journal and share my story and share my own fitness journey with the hope that those who care to pay attention may be able to relate :)

I hope you have a great week! And don’t forget to try something NEW. You never know, you may even become a professional footballer 🤣🤣

One of the things I’ve really struggled with recently, is exercising regularly, because of the amount of stress I’ve been under 👎🏽

A month or so ago, I injured my hamstring, and this happened on the background of nursing a groin injury.

(I’m 27 but I’ve been feeling like I’m 47 👴🏽)

This really got me down and I start seeing it as an obstacle to workout, even though it didn’t stop me from doing upper body workouts

Sometimes we try and convince ourselves and look for reasons to justify not exercising and coming out of our comfort zone

I’ve been telling myself im injured, I have to finish off my dissertation, I have to complete my GP portfolio

The truth is, when I’m feeling stressed, I don’t feel like exercising, but when I don’t exercise, i have no clarity of thought and if anything it makes me feel worse. I’ve realised it turns into a vicious cycle.

Despite all the tasks I had to do today, the aches and pains I’ve been feeling in my body over the past few weeks, I told myself ‘no matter what happens I’m going to exercise today’, and I promise you I felt so much better

A lot of the time we do have 45 minutes in the day to exercise, we are able to modify the exercises we do if we’re injured, but our mind convinces us otherwise.

Overcoming the mind is most of the battle

Most of the obstacles are psychological obstacles that we need to overcome mentally, and that’s the main thing I’ve learnt over the past couple months

Let’s crush it for the rest of the year 💪🏽

Do you feel like you’re not fulfilling your potential? Continue reading.. 💭👇🏾

Yesterday I had an honest conversation with myself.. 🗣

I reflected upon the last couple of months and realised that I wasn’t giving 💯 % effort.. 🏃🏽‍♂️

I’ve been selling myself short.

I noticed that it’s SO SO SO EASY to make excuses and talk your self out of literally anything! 🗣

On some days I knew I should have exercised, but I convinced myself I needed a rest because I was too tired. On other days I knew I shouldn’t have been putting so much junk into my body, but I convinced myself it’s ok.. ‘everything in moderation’ ⚖️

and I continued this until missing workouts and eating ‘too much’ rubbish started to become a habit! 📉

It made me realise.. you can make an excuse about whatever you wish, and start believing it, to make yourself feel better temporarily.. 😊

Until you realise the only person you’re fooling is the person in the mirror 🪞

What was the reason? The cause? 🤔

Well, essentially I had become too comfortable and started getting complacent 💆🏽‍♂️

Yesterday I made an active decision to force myself out of that comfort zone again and start getting comfortable being uncomfortable.. 🧗🏽

That’s where personal growth happens 🧠

I share this with you because many of you may have fallen in to the same trap 🪤

So my question to you is..

Do you want the instant gratification of staying in your comfort zone and live with regret? Or are you willing to take yourself out of your comfort zone in order to reap the rewards in the future? 🤔

The choice is yours👇🏾
