Single parent life can change more than people realise. 💛

For Naomi, becoming a single parent meant adjusting to a very different life. Juggling responsibilities without another adult at home, giving up things she enjoyed and feeling isolated while surrounded by families whose lives looked different to hers.

And we know Naomi isn’t alone in those experiences.

Through supporting thousands of single parent families across Wales, we understand that it’s not always the big moments that are hardest. Sometimes it’s the everyday things. Having nobody to share the load with, missing out on time for yourself or feeling like everyone around you has a different experience of family life.

That’s why connection matters so much.

Through Single Parents Wellbeing, Naomi found people who understood, built friendships and became part of a community where she belonged.

Today, she’s helping other families find that same connection as an SPW Volunteer Ambassador.

Because sometimes the biggest difference comes from knowing you’re not the only one navigating it.

Swipe to read Naomi’s story. 💛

Our popular Wellbeing Workshop - Confidence Building is back next month.

A FREE, practical and in-depth self-development workshop for single parents who want to invest some time in themselves, understand what might be holding them back and build greater confidence and resilience.
If you are a single parent looking to get back to work or looking at a career change you are eligible to attend one of these free half-day workshops in Cardiff hosted by Single Parents Wellbeing for InterWork Services.
This isn’t just about talking about confidence. We’ll dig a little deeper into where self-doubt comes from, how it affects us and, most importantly, what we can actually do about it.
You’ll come away with useful, practical tools and techniques that you can continue using beyond the workshop, helping you understand yourself better, recognise your strengths and feel more confident about what comes next.
