Pride Month at Nuffield Health
This Pride Month, we’re proud to stand alongside LGBTQIA+ communities celebrating progress, recognising lived experiences, and continuing our commitment to inclusion.
Pride marks the anniversary of the 1970 marches following the Stonewall riots, a defining moment in the fight for equality. Today, it’s both a celebration and a reminder of why creating inclusive environments matters, in society and in healthcare.
At Nuffield Health, we believe everyone should feel respected, valued, and able to be themselves. We welcome people from all walks of life and are committed to delivering healthcare that is inclusive, accessible, and centred around individual needs.
We’re taking action to support our LGBTQIA+ colleagues and patients, including:
☑️Creating spaces like our Pride Network and Equity Forum to amplify diverse voices
☑️Offering inclusive policies that support all families and life journeys
☑️Providing gender affirmation services across a number of our hospitals
☑️Embedding inclusive practices such as pronoun options in care pathways and on name badges
As Jacqs Harper, our Chief Digital Information Officer and Pride Network member, shares: “Creating a genuinely inclusive environment really matters now more than ever.”
We know there is more to do, and we remain committed to learning, listening, and driving meaningful change while building a healthier nation for everyone.
