Back last summer I had the pleasure of recording a series for BBC radio wales with this lovely lady and last night it was finally out! Here’s a summary of what we talked about on “Emily makes an effort” which is available on BBC I player.

🌈 Black can be a colour of choice that helps us blend into the background but quite often there are alternative neutrals that suit us more, like black brown and ink blue in Emily’s case.

🌈 You’ll also discover new colours you may have never considered such as lime green. Sometimes they can end up being your new go to colours.

🌈 How we wear colour is very much driven by our individual style. Some people prefer more toned down neutrals while others like to be expressive in bold hues and prints.

🌈 By understanding your best tone depth and clarity you’ll know what to choose and also what to avoid.

This reversible belt has been on my list for a long time. Yes it’s extravagant but it’s a mindful purchase in 2 colour ways which I know will work hard for me in my wardrobe, black and beige Gucci logo. Together with an old gold buckle in a perfect metal wear and size buckle for me. Also consider the price per wear for high ticket price items. This I will wear often with jeans, trousers, jumpsuits, dresses shorts do my cost per wear will be low!! Plus I ❤️ it!! You can look out for me styling it!! 🤣

Interesting I looked up these guidelines for selecting the perfect length belt which was a surprise to me as not many of my other belts meet this criteria!!

A belt should typically overlap enough to reach, or just pass, the first belt loop on your trousers, generally extending about 2-4 inches beyond the buckle. For the best fit, you should aim to use the middle hole of a 5-hole belt. If it is much longer than the first loop, it is too long.

This past week I’ve been putting together some before and after photos of my clients for my new website, to showcase how my clients have transformed. What’s really striking from looking at these is not just how their image has changed but how their body language has changed dramatically too.

They are smiling, happy, more open with their body language and are confident to pose which they wouldn’t have done before!

I’ve included myself in this too as I’ve also lived the same journey my clients have, so understand first hand exactly how to support and guide them every step of the way!

Continuing with my client’s image transformation, here I’m showing her how to create a fuller looking lip that’s natural and simple to do herself.

1. Lip base to prime the lips to smooth, plump and keep lipstick in place.

2. Lipliner in a slightly darker shade than the lipstick applied just outside the lip line. This is rose.

3. A cool based lipstick in soft maeve to complement her features.

4. Apply lipliner again to give a clear edge, adds definition and symmetry.

5. Lastly lip gloss in pink shell in the centre in a cool based shade.

Getting colour right is always the best starting place to achieve an elevated image. It has the power to showcase your features lighting you up, making your eyes pop and giving you complete clarify with what to invest in and what to avoid.

Meet one of my clients from last week who looked incredible in her colour palette. Here I’m comparing her in a SOFT dominant palette (someone with blended features like Jennifer Anniston) compared to a CLEAR and contrasting palette (Katy Perry). What do you think?
