THE LOSS OF A FATHER

Is the anchor pulled from the seabed
the steering wheel unhinged
the mast split by lightning
and the bow broken by storm.

The ship that you sailed
until now
feels unsafe
no longer weather-proof
and without direction
or brave heart
to speed its way.

Perhaps you did not even know
that he was your compass
that you gazed upon his lead
like a North-star in the night.

He gave you all of this
you see
without notice or congratulation
diligently
consistently
continuously guiding
always showing the way
in the way he knew how.

And whilst you are cast adrift
I know this to be true
you will anchor yourself once more my friend
when you realise
that his voice still speaks
still guides
still brings brave heart your way
in the roughest of storms .

And the answers you seek
he already planted deep
within your heart
for he knew one day

you would need to sail alone.

So he buried little pieces of himself
within your heart
your mind
your spirit
and your soul

little breadcrumbs of love
to show the way

forevermore.

My Dad ….. 💔💔
John Blanche the legend of Games Workshop fantasy art who inspired so many with his talent, unique magic & endless imagination!
You inspired me personally in so many ways but not just with your artistic talent. You inspired me with your kind, gentle, generous nature, your love & care for animals especially cats, your passion for electronic music & the Detroit techno tracks you listened to that seemed to span for hours whilst you were lost in your painting, the silly faces & voices you would put on to make me laugh & my sons too after that, you read to me, drew with me & made upside down sofa dens for me, you came to my first flat when I moved in & taught me how to cook spaghetti bolognese, you had an amazing eye for fashion & spent hours shopping for clothes with me when I was a teenager, you taught me so much about life, but most of all you taught me to believe in myself, you told me I could be anything I wanted to be & I believed you!!!
You were THE BEST DAD EVER!!! It is a such a huge loss & you will be so missed by so many!
I take great comfort from reading all the wonderful posts & comments about you posted online today, you touched so many peoples lives in so many ways!

Gently landing after a beautiful 3 day immersive womb healing container, a remembrance of the feminine arts, sacred anointing, Yoni steaming & womb wrapping. The shifts I experienced personally have been deep & expansive, the womb holds many layers & the deeper we go the more we unlock all of our potential. Thank you to Angie at for these amazing teachings, my wonderful teacher & friend for her knowledge, support, kindness & big sense of humour, thank you to my soul sister for taking this journey with me & always walking beside me through the dark helping to guide me back to myself, & thank you to all the beautiful sisters in our womb circle it was an honour to witness you all! Love you! ❤️
