It’s hard to believe that we are already into the second quarter of 2021!

In the last 3 months we have started working with Carmarthenshire People First (CPF), providing online health and wellbeing sessions for it’s members.

For those of you who don’t know CPF is an independent charity promoting independent advocacy, support and training for adults with learning disabilities, based in Carmarthenshire.

The member led sessions have been run via Zoom 3 times per week covering a range of health and wellbeing topics including healthy eating; exercise; mental health; relaxation and the importance of sleep.

In addition to this members have also talked about their own hobbies and interests within the group sessions, which have included nature, gardening and cooking related activities. The members have also ran some basic Signalong lessons during the session.

There has also been a weekly online music quiz that gives the members the opportunity to socialise and have a good time with their friends!

The sessions have proved to be very popular with the members and the plan is to introduce walking groups as and when current restrictions ease and allow us to do so.
