Yesterday we are The Scottish FA launched a nationwide Girls and Women's Facilities survey to get an understanding from those who play the game where we need to improve to make facilities and football more accessible for them.

This survey is a significant piece of national work and although being carried out by ourselves we are trying to gather data that we can share with other sports therefor this survey is open to all who participate in any sport.

We are asking if possible if you could please share amongst your own clubs and girls and women's players. The survey is anonymous and has no bearing on any application in the past or the potential future. The purpose of the survey is not to look at your facility but to look at the landscape on a whole.

There are now only 2 weeks left of Friday Night Fitba at CDHS.

Sept 4th and Sept 11th.

We've been providing free fruit and water at these nights as well as some great games of adults v kids- if I'm being honest the kids are needing a few more players as the adults have been coming out on top most weeks!! so it would be good to see a good number of kids turning out for the last 2 weeks.

Friday Night 5pm-7pm at CDHS.

As previously advertised, the club are running a prize draw for the chance to win a fourball worth over £300 at Southerness Golf Club — one of Scotland’s Top 20 ranked championship links courses right here in Dumfries & Galloway.

There are still some of the 100 tickets remaining to be sold; tickets cost £10 each. Each person who has purchased a ticket will be allocated a number 1-100 in sequential order of ticket sales and the winner will be drawn in our Social Club following a home game once all tickets are sold.

All proceeds will help to support the running of Threave Rovers FC.

Good luck to our boys teams playing their first games of the new D&G League Season this weekend.

Our Under 13’s play their first competitive fixture today as Stranraer travel to Birkland for a league fixture. Kick off is 11am.

Then tomorrow our U15’s travel to Dumfries High 3G to play Greystone in the league.
Kick off is 10am.
