WHAT A DAY!!!! Our first ever Reel Talk session was amazing!!! 4 wonderful guys turned up for a fantastic day. All 4 were laughing, smiling and most importantly… catching fish. We had an intimate group chat therapy session which was just amazing to have been a part of. I can’t thank everyone enough for getting involved and opening up. Even the rain couldn’t stop the fun as we all bonded and chatted. Today couldn’t t have happened without the ongoing support of my helpers Tom and Nathan. I owe you loads in helping today be a success. Also, Joe held the group chat with style and confidence by putting everyone at ease which made for a great and open session.

And….. the sausage rolls and buns got demolished. 😂👏

Thank you to everyone who has helped with Reel Talk so far…. You are very much appreciated.

WE ARE FULL!!!

All places are now booked for the first Reel Talk session on 6th September. 4 amazing men will come and experience their first taste of a fishing support group.

Well…. Yesterday was a big day for Reel Talk. After a wonderful donation by my employers, Hargreaves Industrial Services I was able to approach the amazing people down at Independent fishing tackle and bait shop , Doncaster (massive Thank you to Sam for sorting an amazing deal out for us) . We now officially have a full fishing set up for 4 people (lovingly modelled by my daughter , Lydia!!) , meaning there will be absolutely no expense to anybody attending Reel Talk . Attendance, refreshments, snacks and fishing will be absolutely FREE!!! Please share and spread the word as wide as you can so we can get the spaces filled up for our first session on August 29th. Thank you to all involved so far.. Exciting times!! 🎣

Unsure of what to expect at Reel Talk if it’s your first ever taste of fishing??? Well …. There’s nothing to worry about . Below is a great video explaining the method feeder style of fishing. I love this method and it is my go to choice when out on the bank. With support on the day you will have nothing to worry about. All the setting up will be done prior to you arriving. All that’s left to do is come , have a go, have a chat and enjoy a brew.

EXCITING NEWS….

We officially have our date for the first ever Reel Talk session!!!

Saturday August 29th will be the date. The wonderful people at Ozzy’s fishing pond in Castleford have pulled out all the stops in enabling this to happen. I can’t thank Becki Worthington and the team enough for the support they have shown. Ozzy’s pond is a private area located in a nice and secluded environment which is perfect for fishing and relaxing.

The first session will cater for 4 men of any fishing ability from beginner to experienced who want to attend. The group chat will be arranged for the middle of the session. All participants are asked to be part of the group chat to speak about as much or as little as they feel comfortable with.

If you or anybody you know would like to be involved on the day then please direct message this page. Unfortunately, due to limited numbers I can only accept 4 people and the first 4 people to confirm they would like to come. Although I am working I will endeavour to reply to all messages within 24 hours.

All fishing tackle will be provided on the day with fishing assistance from myself and 2 more volunteers Tom and Josh. Tea and coffee will be provided too along with biscuits (and possibly home made buns!!!).

The session will run from 9.30am to 2pm.

This is such an exciting time for Reel Talk so come and be part of the movement.
