Mai / May – what a month! 🌸
May began with a lovely event at Ffair Fai Cara in Aberystwyth, followed by an organ recital by one of my oldest friends – always special to see people I care about doing what they love.
Another highlight was being a guest on a podcast episode ‘1 mewn 2’, and as always, it was wonderful to catch up with my regular clients and welcome some new ones too.
A particular highlight was the annual visit from Dr Sameer Kale, founder of Omni. Although I wasn’t able to attend as many events as I would have liked this year, I was attuned to the third branch of Omni – Omni Saisutra. The first branch focuses on health, whilst the third incorporates ta**ra, mantra and deeper healing practices that support health, prosperity, spiritual development and healing on more chronic levels.
The attunement came at a particularly good time. In April, my blood tests revealed my ferritin level was just 8. Ferritin reflects the body’s iron stores, and low levels can cause fatigue, dizziness, brain fog and a general lack of energy. I was experiencing quite a few of those symptoms, so the boost in energy I felt following the attunement was remarkable. I genuinely felt like a different person.
In my quest to understand what’s going on a little better, I also ordered a microbiome testing kit from Chuckling Goat and am now waiting eagerly for the results!
To round off the month, my husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary ❤️, and over the Whitsun half-term we spent what will hopefully be our final time in our current home as a family of five. The next time our eldest comes home, we expect to have moved.
With moving and downsizing inevitably comes the need to be discerning about what we keep and what we no longer use. I’ve found that part particularly challenging. So many items hold memories of our children’s younger years, family holidays and different chapters of our lives.
One of the more emotional farewells has been to our camping equipment. As a family we’ve enjoyed so many wonderful camping holidays around Wales, Devon and England. The children never seemed to sleep as well anywhere else as they did in a tent!
Of course, we weren’t exactly hardcore campers. An electric hook-up was considered essential – for the cool box, the radio and, most importantly for my comfort, a coffee machine. ☕⛺
As I’ve been sorting through everything, I’ve been reminded how true it is that you never know when your last trip will be until you don’t go again. Our final camping adventure turned out to be during the Covid summer, when we spent a glorious few sunny days at Sophia Gardens. At the time it was simply another family holiday; little did we know it would be the last one with the tent.
Anyway, enough of my reminiscing!
June looks set to be a month of boxes, change, new beginnings and fresh adventures. Here’s to whatever comes next. ✨
How was your May?
