Living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can feel exhausting, overwhelming and isolating. I know, because I have had to cope with it. PTSD is often stereotyped with ‘’shell shock’’ linked to combat scenarios only. It can however affect anyone at a time where their coping mechanisms just cannot handle a situation they have found themselves in.

Hypnotherapy may offer a gentle, supportive way to help you feel calmer, regain a sense of control and develop healthier and more rational ways of responding to difficult thoughts, emotions and memories. From personal experience I can vouch that it has helped me to cope and function far more effectively in everyday life.

Sessions are confidential, compassionate and tailored to you. We work at a pace that feels comfortable, in a safe and supportive environment.
You don't have to face everything alone. With the right support, and a different perspective on how to manage difficult thoughts and emotions, life can begin to feel more manageable again.

If you'd like to know more, please feel free to contact me. I'm always happy to have a chat and explain the process, with no pressure or obligation.

Take care everyone and have a fantastic weekend.

Most people try to change their life using willpower alone. Because your subconscious mind controls up to 95% of your behaviour, willpower driven change is rarely long-lasting.

Hypnotherapy can help to reprogram those patterns so change feels natural – not forced.

I am Carl, a clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist based in Walderslade, Kent. I work both online and in person with my clients.

Think about:

✨ Feeling calm instead of anxious
✨ Confident instead of doubtful
✨ In control instead of stuck

If this is you, let's talk. I offer a free non-obligatory and completely confidential initial consultation. For more details please contact me at Minding the Curve or https://www.mindingthecurve.co.uk/

Success in sport is never just about the physical - it is always combined with mindset. Whether it’s taking on that two footer on the putting green or a possible winning conversion dead in front of the sticks, it’s nearly always about what is going on in the head.

Sports hypnotherapy helps athletes, of all levels and abilities, to unlock peak performance by strengthening focus, confidence, resilience, and mental control under pressure. Whether it’s overcoming performance anxiety, breaking through mental barriers, improving consistency, or accelerating recovery from setbacks, the subconscious mind plays a critical role in performance. The difference between good and exceptional often comes down to mindset.

Through tailored hypnotherapy techniques, athletes can:

• Build long lasting confidence
• Improve concentration and mental clarity
• Manage nerves and performance pressure
• Enhance motivation and discipline
• Develop a winning mindset
• Recover mentally after injury or setbacks

From amateur competitors to elite professionals, mental conditioning is becoming just as important as physical training. For a free and completely non-obligatory initial consultation, please get in touch through my socials, website or directly via WhatsApp or Messenger where I will happily discuss the benefits that sports hypnotherapy can bring in ‘’upping your game'' for good.

Train the mind. Elevate performance. Achieve your potential.

For many, the thought of stepping onto a plane triggers more than just mild nerves. It can cause intense anxiety, panic attacks, sleepless nights before travel or even complete avoidance of flying altogether. If this resonates, you’re not alone. And, more importantly, you do not have to remain this way.

Fear of flying is a learned behaviour and thus very treatable. Hypnotherapy can be one of the most effective ways to overcome it.

Fear of flying isn’t about the plane itself. It’s often rooted in deeper emotional responses like:

• Fear of losing control
• Fear of heights
• Claustrophobia
• Past negative experiences
• General anxiety or panic tendencies
• Exposure to alarming news or media

Your mind is trying to protect you – but it’s doing so in a way that isn’t helpful. The subconscious associates flying with danger, even when logically you know it’s perfectly safe.
It isn't a logical problem, it’s a subconscious one and that is where hypnotherapy steps in as an effective tool in overcoming it.
It works by gently guiding you into a deeply relaxed state where your subconscious mind becomes more receptive to change. We then work to:

• Reframe your emotional response to flying
• Replace fear based associations with calm, confidence, and control
• Desensitise triggers such as turbulence, take-off or enclosed spaces
• Build new mental patterns that support relaxed travel

Rather than forcing yourself to cope with fear, hypnotherapy helps remove the fear at source.
