You get told the do’s and dont’s before surgery but no one tells you what you should be doing nutritionally to help your body which is one of the most important! Especially when it comes to supporting your gut health - and its not a case of “just take this probiotic”

The bone broth that I use and love is Freja Bone Broth

That first sip after surgery oh my god - I cannot tell you how good that tasted 🤣

I’m not doing anything extreme this summer - those days are looooong gone!

No juice cleanses. No 6am HIIT classes. No cutting out entire food groups.

Just doubling down on the foundations that actually help my body thrive (especially as I’m still post-surgery!)

These 5 habits aren’t fancy, but they work. And honestly? They’re sustainable enough to stick with beyond summer.

Which one resonates most with you? Drop a number in the comments 💚

I’m not anti-electrolytes 🙈

I’m anti turning every basic human function into a supplement subscription!

The other day I was speaking to a lymphatic drainage therapist from the Cayman Islands and they said something that stuck with me:

“When we have hot weather, we don’t all drink those electrolyte sachets. We make a tonic water.”

Fresh lime and Lemon. Mint. Herbs. Water. Sometimes a little salt depending on the heat.

So I made my own with Moroccan mint, rosemary and lime and honestly, it felt like the most beautiful, simple hydration ritual.

Side note: electrolyte sachets can absolutely have a place. If you’re sweating heavily, training hard, sitting in the sauna, travelling in hot weather, recovering from fluid loss or eating very low carb, sodium-based electrolytes can be useful.

BUT if you’re drinking them every morning because the internet told you plain water “isn’t hydrating enough”… we need to have a word

Most women I see don’t need more expensive sachet. They need to drink enough water, eat mineral-rich foods, support digestion, stop skipping meals, and stop relying on wellness trends to do the basics for them

Honestly I’m sick of these wellness trends and hypes that have women are thinking they need to follow when really it should always be food first approach. And let’s be real - you can’t supplement your way out of an ultra-processed food diet or under eating.

Follow for more cutting through the wellness trends.

Brain fog, hair falling out, couldn’t breath properly whilst laying on my back, shortness of breath whilst walking the dog or on the treadmill, tired all the time and lumps in my breast that weren’t cycle related

Symptoms that were impacting me every single day

Yet lung function test came back normal

Only thing that was a concern was a positive ANA result (auto-immune marker) but I was told it was nothing to worry about. Even though I used to have rheumatoid arthritis and have been in remission for 12 years 🫠

Whilst I was in the surgery recovery room my surgeon said “it’s lucky I removed my implants when I did because they’ve been leaking”. The biggest thing I noticed straight away is that I could breathe properly - I could finally take a deep breath without feeling restricted!

Thank GOD I didn’t listen to “everything is normal” and trusted my own instincts instead.

Never forget - you know your own body better than anyone 💚

Will be sharing my pre- and post-surgery nutrition focuses over the next few days. Make sure you follow

Most women I work with aren’t doing too little.

They’re doing too much and wondering why their body isn’t responding.

Inflammation doesn’t come from one “bad” food.

It comes from:

- chronic stress on the body
- inconsistent nutrition
- a gut that’s not supported

Start with less.

Start with foundations.

DM me “FOUNDATIONS” if you want help simplifying this
