Get those sun hats out and slap on the sunblock and enjoy the sun while you can. Residents from our additional four communities are joining the activity team over in our Drake community for fun and games in the garden. It was a lovely sight to see where residents were able to be in the moment of social interaction. A wonderful afternoon.

As part of Care Home Open Week, in our Benbow courtyard we held an afternoon tea party. With residents across the site, there was lovely conversation and engagement; family and friends also came along to enjoy the sunshine and chat. There was a wonderful selection of cakes, and it felt not too many were left. Well done to our activity team in organising this.

On Monday, 15th June, we invited back our musical friend Brian Shaw to our Mountbatten Community. Not only was the invite for residents in Mountbatten, it was extended to our residents in Jellicoe, Benbow, Nelson, and Drake. Lots of singing could be heard, prompting happy memories; one resident even took to the mic. An amazing afternoon.

Another treat on Friday, 15th May, with a lucky trip with 3 of our residents from Nelson, with a very nice walk to and from The Black Bull pub for a spot of lunch. Activity staff and residents enjoyed their meal, and residents enjoying a pint and a few Baileys.

What a party we had in Jellicoe with Jacqui Dean. Singing, dancing, and smiles all round. The Activities Team was amazing, engaging with the residents along with Jacqui. Residents from all five communities came along for the party atmosphere.

Who has green fingers? A trip to the local garden centre for a spot of perusing and, of course, the must-have, a cup of coffee and cake. Although a little chilly, the residents seemed to have a lovely time.

YeHa y’all. What an afternoon with Tracy Lea on Friday. Cowboy hats were handed out for the residents to participate in the Country Music afternoon. Residents from all the communities joined those in Benbow for a fun sing-along and dancing. What an amazing afternoon, full of laughs.

We had a lovely afternoon with Tracy Lea in our Mountbatten Community with residents from Jellicoe, Benbow, Nelson and Drake also popping along to enjoy the sing-along. There were instruments to play and dancing. Residents and staff seemed to really enjoy the afternoon.
