Their scripts aren’t random, they’re communication.

Stage 3 in NLA is often misunderstood.

It’s not about avoiding verbs or only using single words all day.

Language development isn’t linear, and children continue to use language from different stages depending on the moment and what feels accessible to them.

Stage 3 is about recognising a child’s growing understanding that words can work independently, whilst continuing to follow their lead and model natural language.
And yes…natural language includes verbs ✨

As always, we stay curious and meet the child where they are 🤍
