I’m a big fan of micro-habits!

But what are they? And why are they so effective?

✨ Micro-habits are tiny, manageable actions that take less than two minutes to complete.

✨ Over time, these small repeated actions can be transformational.

✨ They work well because they are ‘low friction’: they bypass the brain's resistance to big, overwhelming tasks, reducing the oh-so-familiar urge to procrastinate!

✨ They are also gentle and nurturing and fun! I always like to inject a bit of humour into my challenges 😊

In my next virtual challenge, ‘Nurture Your Nervous System’, we weave micro-habits into our busy days to help regulate our nervous systems.

A few minutes a day. For 7 days.

One week to prioritise your wellbeing. And create some lasting habits.

We’ll be making use of lots of these in Nurture Your Nervous System, our 7-day virtual challenge starting Monday!

Managing our feelings can be tricky, especially if we learned it was safer to hide or suppress them. Change is also tricky, and when we are feeling something, our thinking is harder to access. It can be handy to have something simple to hand like the above, if you'd like a copy that you can print off, colour, and word search, drop me a comment or message ❤️

Modern life can feel heavy.

Endless responsibilities and mental chatter… The pressure to keep ALL the plates spinning. Be everything to everyone.

That’s not all going to magically disappear overnight. BUT we can weave in some moments of calm. To ease the pressure. Make things seem more manageable. Help lighten the load.

In the Nurture Your Nervous System 7-day virtual challenge starting this Monday (10th August), we learn some tools to help regulate our nervous systems. In a manageable, bite-size way.

We give our nervous system little ‘snacks’ of calm, help it remember how to release stored tension, and feel safe enough to come out of flight/fight/freeze/fawn mode.

Because we’re here to enjoy life. Not just get through each day.
