I did it!

Yesterday morning, I spent some time with Mollie and Shelley from Bold Marketing being videoed. If you know me, you'll know this is probably one of the things that makes me feel most uncomfortable!

However, I feel it's important for you to get to know me and see who I am behind the business, especially if you're new to my page and wondering who I am and what I'm all about.

I have to say, Mollie and Shelley were amazing. They made me feel relaxed and comfortable from the moment I arrived and made the whole process so much easier than I was anticipating. What I thought would be a nerve-wracking experience turned out to be far more enjoyable than expected!

If you've been thinking about creating video content for your business but have been putting it off because it feels daunting, I'd definitely recommend getting in touch with them.

Stepping out of my comfort zone isn't easy, but I'm excited to share more of myself with you

A little heads-up…

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to be changing things up on my social media and stepping a bit further outside my comfort zone.

Instead of just posting photos and updates, I’m going to start sharing more videos of myself. It feels a little nerve-wracking, but I want to be more authentic and to connect with you all in a different way.

I've also met two lovely people who are going to be helping film me and create content, which makes the whole experience even more exciting and worthwhile.

I’d love your support as I try something new.

Would your child’s school be willing to host a coffee morning so I can introduce myself to parents and share the support that’s available?

It would be a relaxed opportunity for parents to meet me in person, ask questions, and get to know me beyond just a phone call. Building those connections face-to-face can make such a difference and helps parents feel more comfortable reaching out for support when they need it.

If you think your school would be interested, please feel free to message

Wondering what the right support is for your child can be incredibly tricky. Finding the right person to trust with that support can feel even harder. I completely understand that putting your trust in someone, especially when it comes to your child, is a big decision.

That’s why recommendations mean so much.

I truly appreciate every single person who has recommended me to another family, not just because it helps my business grow, but because you’re giving reassurance to a parent who may be exactly where you once were. That trust means everything.

So, if you feel I could support someone you know, I’d be so grateful if you would recommend me. Whether that’s telling them to follow my page, sharing my WhatsApp, email, or simply passing on my details in whatever way feels comfortable for them.

Thank you for your trust, your support, and for helping families find the right support for their children

Hello, I'm Emily. I support children and teenagers who may be experiencing:

• Anxiety
• Big emotions
• Low confidence
• Friendship challenges
• School worries
• Emotional overwhelm

I work with many children carrying far more than most adults realise.

The child who lashes out.
The child who shuts down.
The child who suddenly refuses school.
The child who says, “I’m fine,” while struggling on the inside.

Children do well when they can, and when they can’t, what they need most is support, safety, understanding, and connection.

I help children make sense of their emotions, build confidence, and feel safer within themselves. I also support parents who may be feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of what to do next.

Sometimes, all a child needs is one safe adult who truly sees them.

If you’ve found my page because your child is struggling right now, support is here. Please get in touch.

Tomorrow, approximately 600,000 Year 6 pupils across England sit their first SATs paper.

To the students: you are so much more than a test score. You've been preparing all year — now just show what you know.

To the parents: the early mornings, the kitchen table practice sessions, the reassurance at bedtime — it all adds up. Be proud.

To the teachers: you've walked every step of this journey with them. Tomorrow, they carry everything you've taught them into that exam room.

Good luck to every 10 and 11-year-old starting their SATs this week. You've totally got this.

According to a very well-known comedian, we, as parents and educators, should be telling our young people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and ASD, etc., to 'snap out of it.'

The claim that parents and teachers are “enabling” children’s mental illness instead of telling them to “snap out of it” reflects a misunderstanding of what mental health challenges actually are, how they develop, and what children need to thrive.

Supportive adults aren’t enabling illness; they’re enabling recovery.

Parents and teachers who take children’s mental health seriously aren’t “indulging” them. They’re doing what research consistently shows works:

•Validating emotions reduces distress and helps children regulate themselves.
•Providing accommodations (quiet spaces, flexible deadlines, sensory tools) helps children stay engaged in school rather than disengaging entirely.
•Teaching coping skills builds long-term resilience.
•Seeking professional help early prevents conditions from worsening.

This isn’t enabling illness, it’s enabling growth.

Today’s children face pressures that previous generations didn’t
Children today navigate:

•Constant digital comparison
•Academic pressure from an early age
•Higher expectations for performance and behaviour

These pressures don’t mean children are weaker. They mean the world has changed, and the adults guiding them must adapt.

Some critics argue that acknowledging mental health leads to a lack of discipline. But good mental health informed parenting and teaching do both:

•They set boundaries.
•They teach accountability.
•They support emotional regulation.
•They address the root causes of behaviour, not just the symptoms.

If you work with me, know that I will always support your whole family with compassion and understanding 💜
