Such sad news has been announced tonight that Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80, her family shared the news on her official Instagram account saying 'that Dolly has lived in the light, and is in the arms of Jesus' the specific cause of death has not been detailed by the family 😢🩷🙏

Today I performed a service in a very beautiful, modern Crematorium, with the most super friendly staff, it was a total pleasure. I worked with a new Funeral Director too who couldn't have been more welcoming. We all wore bright colours to say goodbye to a lovely lady, it's been a real pleasure working on this tribute, and I was even invited to the wake for a cuppa tea too. 🐝🐝🐝

So sad to hear the news that Bill Oddie has passed away. Many of you will remember him from the 70s and how he kept us laughing on the TV show The Goodies, not forgetting The Funky Gibbon which reached No4 in the charts. His passion was wildlife and he was one of the original presenters of Springwatch, always remembered for his beard and binoculars, plus his wit and creativity. I was lucky enough to spend an evening with Bill and his wife Laura back in the 90s, my love goes out to his family at this very sad time ❤️

This week I performed a service for a very special friend and her family on the wettest day of the week at Hasland Cemetery. A family member said something quite fitting as we stood in the pouring rain that I wanted to share 'when it rains on the day of a funeral, it's a symbol of comfort, a peaceful transition into the afterlife, a blessing' We all smiled at each other as the rain continued to pour down on us all. 🌧️🙏🤗 ❤️

I recently supported Peter Attwood as we prepared the funeral service for his wife, Margaret. During my visits we got to know each other, and I’ve continued to check in on him since the service. Today he very kindly shared a review of his experience, and with his blessing I took a small selfie to mark the moment.

'We were pleased to meet Jane our Celebrant at my wife's funeral. She gave her a good send off, everyone there was very pleased with the service. I will definitely recommend her to anyone'

Tomorrow morning between 8:15am and 9:45am, Ashton-Lee’s horse-drawn funeral cortege will be travelling from Clowne to Chesterfield Crematorium via the A619.

I spent some time at Chesterfield Crematorium this morning and was struck once again by how beautifully maintained the grounds are. The gardens looked stunning in the sunshine, and the benches, so carefully positioned, offer the perfect place to sit, breathe, and think about those we miss most.
We are very fortunate to have such a tranquil and respectful setting here in Chesterfield.
