This Carers Week, I want to take a moment to recognise the incredible work that carers do every single day. Caring is so much more than a job—it’s about compassion, dignity, patience, and making a real difference in people’s lives.

One of the reasons I love my role at CarlyCare is the opportunity to support people in maintaining their independence while building genuine relationships with those we care for. Every day brings new challenges, but it also brings rewarding moments, whether it’s sharing a smile, providing reassurance, or helping someone feel valued and respected.

Oscar is the reason behind CarlyCare 💙

When my little boy, Oscar, came into my life, everything changed. Becoming a mum made me realize how important it was for me to have the flexibility to be there for him while still doing something I love.

That’s why I started CarlyCare — my own little business that allows me to work around Oscar, support other families, and build something meaningful for our future.

Every day isn’t always easy, but having the opportunity to balance work and motherhood makes it all worthwhile. Oscar is my biggest motivation, and CarlyCare wouldn’t exist without him. 💙
