The 3pm slump isn’t a willpower problem. It’s a 7am problem.

Most people try to fix it at 3pm — another coffee, something from the biscuit tin, a slow walk to the kettle. By then you’re managing the symptom, not the cause.

All five causes in this carousel happen before lunch:

1 — breakfast that was mostly toast
2 — the 2pm coffee
3 — the meal deal
4 — no daylight before 9am
5 — four calls, no gaps

It’s rarely all five. Usually one, sometimes two.

Which number was obviously yours? Drop 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 below — I read every one.

Save it for tomorrow morning. And send it to whoever texts you „I’m dead” at half three.

Doing everything right and still feeling flat? It might not be you. It might be the advice.

Five habits that pass as healthy and quietly aren’t:

More water. Daily cardio. „Clean eating”. Weekend lie-ins. The protein bar.

We’ve broken down what each one actually does — and the one-line correction for each. No scare tactics, no detox nonsense.

Number 4 is the one people argue with us about most. Swipe and tell us if you agree.

„Narine” isn’t a type of bacteria. It’s a strain.

And that’s the distinction almost no label bothers to make.

Most packs give you the species only: Lactobacillus acidophilus. That’s about as specific as writing „dog” on a pedigree certificate. Research never studies species — it studies individual strains. Acid tolerance, adhesion, stability: all strain-level properties, not species-level ones.

The Narine strain, in full:
Lactobacillus acidophilus Er-2 317/402

Isolated in Armenia in 1954 by microbiologist Levon Erzinkyan, and described in over 200 scientific papers since.

Your label check, three questions:
1. Is the full strain designation there — letters and numbers?
2. Is the count given per daily serving, not per 100 g?
3. Is it guaranteed to end of shelf life, or only at time of manufacture?

Miss any one of those and you’re buying a promise, not a specification.

Narum Fast Caps states the strain in full on every pack. Available at mynarum.com — link in bio.

Her name was Narine. She was a newborn in Armenia in 1954 — and a strain of bacteria isolated from her first stool was later named after her.

Her grandfather, professor Levon Erzinkyan, was studying lactic acid bacteria at the Institute of Microbiology of the Armenian Academy of Sciences. What he found in that sample stood out from the rest of the collection: it withstood bile and acid, the two conditions that stop most bacteria on the way through the digestive tract.

It went into the catalogue as Lactobacillus acidophilus Er-2 strain 317/402. Everyone else simply called it Narine.

It nearly disappeared. When the Soviet Union collapsed, the institute was largely destroyed and the professor died. The strain survived because a few people refused to let it go — today it is deposited at the Republican Microbe Depository of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia.

Swipe for the whole story, including the part that matters when you’re standing in a pharmacy aisle: a species is not a strain. Lactobacillus acidophilus covers thousands of them. Er-2 317/402 is one, with its own catalogue entry and its own research.

That strain from the 1954 sample is the one in Narum Fast — alongside a metabiotic produced by the same strain.

Now go and look: which strain is in the one you’re taking?

Ever actually read the back of the box? 👀

Here’s what’s inside Narum Forte — line by line, with every bit of jargon explained.

Three named strains, each with its own ID code:
🔬 Lactobacillus acidophilus Er-2 317/402 Narine
🔬 Bifidobacterium bifidum DSM 20456
🔬 Escherichia coli Nissle 1917 (yes, on purpose — swipe to see why)

Named strains matter: the code tells you exactly which bacteria you’re getting. No code, no certainty.

Bloating gets all the attention. These five don’t.

None of them proves anything on its own — skin, energy, cravings, immunity and focus all have other explanations too. But when several show up together and stay, the gut is worth looking at rather than ignoring.

Swipe through and count. Then tell me your number below — 0, 1, 2 or more.

We’ve built everything we do around one strain: Lactobacillus acidophilus Er-2 317/402, isolated in Armenia in 1954 and studied ever since. Not the biggest number on the label. The one with the research.

A billion bacteria on the label tells you almost nothing.

Most people buy probiotics by the CFU count. But what actually matters is something else: which strain is inside — and whether it survives stomach acid and bile salts at all.

5 things that aren’t printed on any package 👉

01 · Not every probiotic survives the stomach
02 · The strain matters more than the billions
03 · It takes weeks, not days
04 · Prebiotics alone aren’t enough
05 · Your microbiome is always changing.

We’ve been researching ferments since 1954 — with the documented Narine strain (Lactobacillus acidophilus Er-2 37/402 Narine).

💬 And tell us: which one surprised you most — 01, 02, 03, 04 or 05? Just drop the number.
