🖤 I THINK I MAY HAVE JUST CREATED SOMETHING VERY, VERY SPECIAL… 🖤

Introducing the Spectrum Side Veil™ Method — a completely new side-coverage method developed right here at Spectrum Hair Boutique.

And when I tell you the result is seamless… I mean WHERE THE BLOODY HELL HAS IT GONE?! seamless. 😭😍

This client had extremely fine, fragile hair through the sides, with very little density available to disguise a traditional extension attachment. Standard methods could add length, but they couldn’t recreate the natural-looking coverage she actually needed.

So I created something that could.

The Spectrum Side Veil™ Method is designed specifically for clients experiencing:

✨ Very fine or fragile hair around the sides
✨ Visible scalp through the temple and side areas
✨ Reduced density that ordinary extensions cannot disguise
✨ Breakage or weakness caused by repeatedly styling and pulling the same delicate hair
✨ Difficulty wearing their hair back without attachments or sparse areas showing

Rather than simply adding more hair underneath, this method recreates the appearance of natural density from the scalp itself. Each strand appears to emerge individually, allowing it to blend into the client’s own hair without a bulky or obvious transition.

The result is lightweight, secure and almost unbelievably discreet—even when the hair is lifted or tied back. It is also completely adhesive-free and tape-free, making it ideal for clients who want natural-looking coverage without glue, tape or bulky attachments.

There is no exposed extension track and no sudden “wall” of added hair. Just soft, natural-looking coverage exactly where it was missing.

The protected area underneath also gives the client’s fine and vulnerable hair a much-needed break from constant manipulation while the system is worn.

No topper.
No full mesh integration.
No adhesive.
No tape.
No visible side attachments.
And absolutely no asking this client to survive on six remaining strands and a prayer. 😂

This is not currently a bookable service while I continue refining, documenting and monitoring the method properly. Billie and Stacey will be the first professionals trained in the Spectrum Side Veil™ Method so that, in time, we can help even more clients who have previously been told their hair is simply “too fine” for extensions.

Eventually, this will also become part of Spectrum’s professional education—and I genuinely believe it could completely change what is possible for clients with side thinning and fragile hair.

🚨 THE FINAL BREADCRUMB HAS BEEN DROPPED… 🚨

Welllllll… that’s it. 😭😂

Today was officially the LAST DAY that me & Be were the gruesome twosome. 👯‍♀️🖤

Because the next time we unlock those salon doors and cause absolute carnage…

THERE’S THREE OF US. 😭😂😝

I honestly cannot tell you how bloody exciting that is.

We’ve spent the last few weeks dropping little breadcrumbs 👀🍞 and being just vague enough to annoy everyone…

But our little Spectrum duo is officially becoming a TRIO and I CANNOT WAIT. 🥹❤️

Our gorgeous Stacey is joining us, bringing another chair, another personality and, judging by what we already know about her, absolutely NO hope whatsoever of restoring any sort of professionalism to the building. 😂

Which is exactly what we wanted.

But the bit I’m most excited about?

She isn’t just coming in to do her own thing.

Stacey is going to be training alongside myself and Be in hair extensions AND the hair loss world ❤️

So we’re not just adding another stylist.

We’re growing the team of people inside Spectrum who can eventually help more people with the things we care so bloody much about. 🥹

And I genuinely cannot wait to teach her everything we know, have her working alongside us, watch her confidence grow and see what she makes of it all.

And the best bit?

Stacey’s diary is officially OPEN and she is now taking bookings from the salon! 📖✨

✨ NOT. A. SINGLE. DROP. OF. BLEACH. ✨

Would you believe me if I told you there wasn’t a foil in sight for this transformation? 😍

My gorgeous wee client came in today for a root melt & tone, and just LOOK at the difference.

We took that warmer, grown-out blonde and completely changed the feel of it. Softer root, beautifully blended lengths and that expensive, creamy-ashy finish 🤌🏼

No lightener.
No foils.
No unnecessary bleaching of hair that was already light enough.

Because sometimes your blonde doesn’t need to be lighter. It just needs the right colour work to make everything behave again. 😂

And that shine?! The second photo is basically one enormous sheet of glass. 😮‍💨😍

This is exactly why I LOVE a good root melt and tone. It can completely refresh an existing blonde, soften that grow-out and make the whole colour look intentional again without automatically reaching for the bleach bowl.

Blonde maintenance doesn’t always mean more bleach. 🖤

WHY ARE HAIR EXTENSIONS NORMAL… BUT HAIR SYSTEMS AREN’T?

Someone can walk into a salon with short hair and leave with 22-inch extensions.

Nobody questions it. 👏

But someone experiencing hair loss can walk in with very little hair and leave with a full head of beautiful hair…

And one of their BIGGEST fears is:

“What will people think?”

Can we actually think about how backwards that is?

We celebrate adding hair for length.

So why should anybody feel embarrassed about adding hair because they’ve lost theirs?

Hair toppers. Hair systems. Wigs. Extensions.

They’re all alternative hair.
