Kate Hickmore - Cognitive Hypnotherapy Cognitive Hypnotherapy, NLP Master Practitioner & Coaching. Empowering you to live calm, content & confident, authentically you. DipCHyp, HPD, MNLP.

Face to face in Colchester, online worldwide. Comprehensively Insured. Registered with NCH & QCHPA. I'm Kate a QCH Cognitive Hypnotherapist. I trained with The Quest Institute at London's Regents University. Where I went on to complete the Master NLP Practitioner course. I also completed the HPD diploma which is externally marked and verified. I have regular supervision and continue with CPD. I am

comprehensively insured with Holistic Insurance and am registered with the NCH & QCHPA. Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a flexible approach to therapy honouring your uniqueness using evidence based techniques. (NLP, positive psychology, EFT, EMI, parts, gestalt to name a few). You are the only person that has lived your life, so your sessions should reflect that. No two sessions will be the same, it's all tailored to you. I will write recordings bespoke for you, there is no, one size fits all. I became a Cognitive Hypnotherapist after seeing a therapist myself and witnessing how life changing it could be. I can help with lots of issues, from self esteem and confidence, to stress and anxiety. Fears and phobias, unwanted habits or behaviours. To limiting beliefs, such as I'm not good enough, lovable enough. Or it might be that you can't quite find the right word to describe how you feel, that you just feel lost or disconnected. During our first session we'll have a chat, get to know each other, I will get a really good understanding of whats going on for you and what you'd like instead. What your strengths, values, beliefs are. Then we'll take it from there. I'm always happy to chat, and offer a free initial, no obligation, phone call to see if this kind of therapy could be right for you. So if you want to feel heard and seen, maybe for the first time, in a safe, non judgmental environment, reach out.

Do you do this?
Start becoming aware of the language you use about yourself, recognise what you are putting at identity level, separate it as something you just experience sometimes, not something you are.

Subtle shift, big difference.

There’s a particular kind of exhaustion that comes from constantly holding everything together.

The mental load.
The emotional load.
The invisible load.

For many women in midlife, anxiety doesn’t always look like panic attacks.

Sometimes it looks like:
Irritability
Overthinking
Feeling emotionally flat
Struggling to switch off
Losing patience more quickly
Feeling disconnected from yourself
Functioning externally while overwhelmed internally.

Your nervous system was never designed to run under constant pressure without rest, support, or space.

And yet so many women have normalised survival mode.

If this resonates, you’re not alone.

I work with women experiencing midlife anxiety, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, identity shifts, people pleasing and nervous system overload from my therapy room in Langham, Colchester and online across the UK.

If you recognise yourself here, reach out for a chat.

I understand that the thought of committing yourself to potentially endless weeks of therapy can be daunting, and logistically tricky to fit into an already busy schedule.

That is the beauty of working with me.
I see people for an average of 3-6 sessions.
We can go weekly, fortnightly or sometimes even monthly. It’s got to work for you.
Just what you need, for as long as you need it.
No pressure.

If you’ve been putting it off because of the time commitment, this might be your sign to start.
Message me if you’re curious about how this could work for you.

Most people come to therapy with a presenting problem…

“I can’t stop overeating”
“I overthink everything”
“I just don’t feel good enough”

And while those things are very real…
they’re often not the root of the issue.

They’re the symptom.

Because your mind and body are always trying to help you cope…
even if the way they’ve learned to do that no longer feels helpful.

Overeating might be comfort.
Overthinking might be protection.
Self-doubt might have been learned somewhere along the way.

So the work isn’t about forcing yourself to “stop”…
it’s about gently understanding why it started.

Because when you update what’s underneath…
the surface behaviours often begin to change naturally.

That’s where real, lasting change happens.

If you’re ready to understand what’s really driving the pattern underneath, feel free to reach out or explore my work. That’s where change starts.
