Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is pleased to publish its unaudited annual accounts for the year ended 31 March 2026. As per normal accountancy practice, these will now be subject to review by our external auditor.

Overall the HSCP is pleased to report that it has been able to operate within its budget and is reporting an operational underspend totalling ยฃ2.9m or 0.7% of spend. These resources are being carried forward within our reserves to pay for the delivery of services in 2026/27 as the IJB has set a budget for next year which relies upon funding from reserves to pay for health and care services. The last year has been particularly challenging as difficult savings have had to be made to ensure that services can continue to be delivered on a sustainable basis going forward.

While this is a positive outcome for last year, we continue to face severe financial pressures as we look ahead, our funding increases are not expected to be sufficient to fund the impact of cost increases for the delivery of health and social care services and the increasing demand for services as the population gets older.
