I hope everyone will join me in welcoming our new Ward Manager Annie to Crewkerne, Annie has been with us a few weeks now following a handover period with Katie, who is enjoying her new role at MPH and Iโ€™m quite sure is fantastic.

Annie joins us from Wincanton CH where she has been a deputy Ward Manager. Annie has quickly settled in and will not only be managing the ward, but also working with me overseeing the development of CCH and our incoming Services. Very exciting times and luckily Annie seems to have never ending energy & enthusiasm! Welcome to CCH ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿฅ

Work has also started on the new day room for our inpatient beds, this is going to be a larger room with both a lounge area and a dining area to encourage socializing and reducing deconditioning by getting our patients up and out of bed wherever possible. Again, thank you to our facilities , admin, estates and nursing teams for getting involved. SN Emma couldnโ€™t wait to get her hands on a paint brush ๐ŸŽจ ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿงน

We have commenced our test & learn process and have reduced to 8 inpatient beds. Work is progressing to utilize this space to introduce new services for our community. Our first Symphony led clinic commences next Wednesday so we are currently moving the old day room to produce a relaxed comfortable space for group clinics. Today we say goodbye and good luck to Katie, our Ward Manager for nearly nine years. She is leaving us for some new adventures and we all wish her well. Katie has been a very valued member of the team, she has led with compassion and kindness and as a Matron I knew I could always rely on her. She will be missed ๐Ÿ˜Š
